“If you or your Father had taken the time to listen to the King’s speech you wouldn’t have said such nonsense. Elder Marcus, in addition to the Pack’s punishment for the behavior of their Alpha I want this…” I stay quiet as to think of what to call her. “Whatever this is I believe that word still has to be invented.

I want her at the Council to be taught on everything an Alpha’s Daughter should now. She does not return home without my approval, unless it is for the funeral of one of her parents and even then only under supervision.” One of the other Elders steps forward to take her into custody.

She is kicking and screaming as she is being lead away from the gardens, her parents and the rest of the Pack–members are told to get up and they get escorted out of the gardens as well.

I can feel everyone staring at me and I inform Victor through the mind–link that I am ready to find Micha. He lends me his arm again and he leads me away from the now empty table, guiding me towards Micha and his Mate.

Ella and Emma are already with them and they seem to have a lot of fun. “Your Highness, may I introduce you to Jessy. Jessy, this is Princess Hunter.” He says as he is smiling at the girl next to him.

“Hello, Jessy. It is nice to meet you.” I say and I see a few men standing around. Jessy introduces me to her Father, Frank and her two Brothers, Jacob and Joseph and I can’t help myself as I mutter “Fuck, even more J’s”

Her Father is the Gamma of one of the largest Packs around and it turns out that they actually do understand protocol. Joseph quietly asks me what I meant and I ask him if he knows the names of my Stepbrothers, making the males chuckle as they realize what I mean.

“Jessy, congratulations on finding your Mate.” I say and I hear the girls gasp. “I am just sorry you got stuck with that.” I say as I point at Micha and Jessy bursts out in laughter, while Micha stares at me with his mouth wide open.

Once she has calmed down she leans towards me and whispers, “Micha already told me that the Princess was lacking a filter.” We both start laughing and I know that Jessy and I will be good friends.

After her Father and her Brothers leave I tell her that in private she can call me Hunter and she says, “Only if you call me Jess, I hate my name and only my parents still call me Jessy.” I promise her I will call her Jess from here on out.

I keep walking around the gardens with Jess and Micha by my side, while Victor and Matt walk behind me. Ella and Emma called it a night about half an hour ago, a little disappointed they didn’t find their Mate.

My Brothers haven’t left the stage at all and I know they stay there because of the security measures around it, no one can come near them. Pops is sitting with them and they are in a serious conversation, glancing at me every now and then.

“Mom, I would like you to meet Jess. She is the unfortunate Mate of Micha.” Micha pouts as Jess and Mom are laughing their asses off. “Young Lady, that is not nice to say.” Dad scolds me and without thinking I yell, “Okay, who tattled on me?” while my eyes switch from Matt to Micha to Victor and back again.

Mom laughs even harder as Dad just stares at me, Jess is holding on to Micha to keep herself standing up and Elder Marcus asks me what is going on. “One of them tattled on me, they told Dad I am a lady.”

Elder Marcus bursts out in laughter as Victor is trying his best to keep a straight face, but just one look at Matt is all it takes for him to lose it and soon we are all laughing. Chloe has a giant smile on her face and Mom’s other Guards are all giggling.

“Your Highness, if a party ever becomes boring I know where they can find me.” Elder Marcus says and I reply “I will keep a seat empty for you, Elder Marcus.” Matt and Victor tell me it is getting late and seeing the fact we have a lot more Packs to get introduced to tomorrow, it might be best to call it a night.

I make my way back to the stage and sit down on Pops‘ lap, putting my arms around him with my face in his neck. “I missed this, Pops.” I whisper as he hugs me even tighter.

“I missed this too, Princess. I love you.” He says before he kisses my forehead gently. I breath in his scent for a few minutes longer and then I get up again, making my way over to the steps at the back of the stage.

“I think you should not ignore them, they showed tonight that they can behave as a normal Lycan would.” Justice says and I smile at her little stab. Turning around I see a sad look on Justin’s face and Justice whimpers at the sight.

I quickly run over to Justin, crawling onto his lap the moment I reach him and I bury my face in his neck. I feel his arms moving around me as he hides his face in my hair and I snuggle even closer to him.

For some reason Justin’s behavior has always bugged me the most, because in the first few weeks of living at the Palace he was always the one to calm me down by just cuddling with me. Justin is the soft one, the one who loves to cuddle, the one that always knows when I just need to be held.
