When we step into the hallway Hunter is nowhere in sight and we follow her scent to the living–room. We greet everyone that is in the room with Hunter and as we sit down Alpha Drake says “Victor and Matt, just call me Drake when it just family.

Hunter just told us she wants as little people to know who she is as possible and I think we have come up with a solution. For her Law studies she will be traveling to Packs and ours is the one she starts with.

We will tell our Pack–members she is a Law student, which isn’t a lie completely and that she is here for an assignment.” Drake says and I smile at the idea of Hunter as a Lawyer, one I don’t want against me.

We talk during breakfast about everything except her Mates, that is a topic we avoid and just as we are finishing up with breakfast a woman walks into the living–room. “Debra, what can I do for you?” Alpha Drake asks and the tone of his voice tells me that he doesn’t like her.

“Why is my Mate at the Palace?” She asks and I wonder who her Mate is, because as far as I know no one found a Mate last night. “Thomas is at the Palace at my request. I don’t know how long he will be.

Hearing about her from Matt had given me an immediate dislike of the woman and seeing her now I knew that would never chance. “I will never accept it. He is stuck with me for the rest of his life.” She growls and I see Hunter clenching her fists.

“Calm down, Princess. You don’t want her to look at you to closely, you look to much like your Papa.” I say and she slightly nods her head. “Alpha Drake, may I ask something?” Matt turns his head towards him and he nods his head.

“During my studies I had to learn a great deal about protocol and I can guarantee you there are a lot. I was taught that everyone has to address an Alpha by his title, even his Beta has to.

So why is this woman not using proper protocol?” He asks and I know that Hunter gave him that through the mind–link. I see Debra pale and a smirk appears on Drake’s face.

Victor understands that technically I asked that question and from the look on Nanna’s face I can tell that she realizes it as well. I watch Debra from the corner of my eye as she glares at

Matt.

“Why would I call a sadistic psycho Alpha?” She asks and Matt just stares at her. “Excuse me, what do you mean by that?” Victor asks and she tells him that they are Lycans.

“And that explains the sadistic or psycho part, according to you?” Matt asks and I see the smile on Uncle Drake’s face grow. For some reason he is really enjoying this and I can’t wait to find out why.

“Lycans force themselves on women, Lycans abuse their Mates and they cheat on them.” She replies and Uncle Drake bursts out in laughter. He quickly recovers and looks at Debra with a mischievous look.

“Thomas used his mark against you, you are correct in that. He never abused you or cheated on you. You are the one that cheated on him and taking his Daughter from him is abuse in my book.

Thomas tried everything he could to show you that Lycans are just like Werewolves. That we care for our Mates the same way, that we are just as protective of our Mates and that we are willing to do anything for them..

Debra quickly flees the Pack–house and Uncle Drake looks at me, “Nice way of asking that question.” He says and I just smile. I go sit on the front porch after breakfast with my books and start on my assignments.

I get to do my studies in my own time and send my assignments to Council Elder Edward by email. I have access to a digital library and I can always call Elder Edward if I get stuck or if there is something I don’t understand.
