Chapter 232 She Is Home

A sound I haven’t hear in ages wakes me and for a moment I am puzzled as to why I am hearing this type of howling from my Guards and Warriors. “Daniel, why are they howling?” a half awake Aspen asks me and I look at her with a smile on my face.

“Those, my Queen, are our Guards and Warriors letting us know that our Daughter is back on Palace grounds.” Before I can say anything else the door bursts open and a very excited Justin jumps on the bed, mumbling over and over again “She is home”

We all get dressed quickly as I know that it won’t take her to long to get to the Palace and I see smiles on the faces of everyone we see along the way down to the double doors of the Palace. Benjamin and Thomas follow us in a calmer manner and I get this feeling that they knew she was coming home.

We watch as an unknown SUV pulls up in front of us and I see Victor in the passenger seat with Matt behind him in the backseat. That leaves Hunter as the driver and I wonder where they got the SUV from, just as I notice an unknown male getting out the back on the other side of the car.

I can feel the tension growing in my Sons until I hear him yell “Goodmorning, Uncle Thomas. Thought I accompany my Cousin home and see if I can annoy the hell out of you in the meantime.” Thomas walks down the steps to welcome his Nephew and I feel my Sons deflate.

Thomas introduces Max to us and he pulls Aspen in for a hug, “Hello, Cousin. I am happy to finally meet you after hearing so much about you from Hunter.” He looks at me and after he releases his hold on Aspen he bows his head and says “Your Majesty, my name is Max and I have promised Nanna and Uncle Drake that I will accompany Hunter on her travels.

I also promised Nanna that I will make sure that no one stops her when she wants to continue her travels and I have every intention of keeping that promise.” I see him glaring at my Sons and I realize that Hunter told them what had happened.

“Max, welcome to the Palace. I will make sure there is a room ready for your stay here and I know my Mate would like to get to know another family member.” I say as I shake his hand.

Hunter slowly gets out of the car and she jumps into Dad’s arms as soon as he is in reach, “Hello, Papa. Did you miss me or did Pops keep you occupied?” She asks and Dad swirls her around while holding on to her tightly. “Thomas and I have both missed you, but talking about you and your Mother helped pass the time.” Dad responds.
