Chapter 65 Show Them

WILLOW

I looked up, and my brain felt like it stopped working. Tristan stood a few steps away from the table, his hands inside his pockets and his gaze locked onto me.

With the lights and the ambiance of the place, he looked like a man straight from a movie scene or a fiction book. He looked ridiculously handsome.

He was wearing a white polo shirt tucked neatly into dark slacks. The shirt fit him perfectly, outlining his broad shoulders and lean frame.

The fabric looked simple at first glance, but I could tell immediately that it was one of those deceptively expensive pieces. His sleeves were slightly rolled up, revealing his forearms. His hair was styled casually, like he had not tried too hard.

Everything about him looked effortless.

Along with that, it appeared like he matched my dress.

I was still staring when Marcus suddenly spoke.

Serena, did you invite him?

His voice sounded confused and a little bit annoyed as he turned toward Serena.

Serena, however, did not respond at all. Serena was staringno, gawkingat Tristan. Her eyes were practically glued to him.

I couldn’t blame her for this one thing. He really looked handsome at this moment.

Serena,” Marcus said again, his voice sharper this time. She blinked, snapping out of her trance.

Oh,she said quickly. Sorry.

Her gaze flickered between Tristan and me.

Then she laughed lightly.

Maybe I did,” she said casually. I believe I sent invites to everyone I knew who are under 35 in the industry.

Around the table, the others had already begun reacting.

It’s my first time seeing Tristan Hale in person.

Wow.

He looks more like a model than the models in this place.

He’s gorgeous. No wonder he’s so popular.

The comments came one after another, but Tristan did not react to any of them.

Instead, his gaze was locked on mecompletely. As he looked at me, it felt like the rest of the room didn’t exist.

Strangely enough, that made me feel a little smug. I straightened slightly in my seat.

Come sit with us,one of Serena’s friends said enthusiastically. There’s space over here, right next to Serena!

However, Tristan ignored the empty spaces across the table and, instead, walked directly toward me. He sat down naturally next to me.

The table went quiet.

I had some work to do earlier,Tristan said casually. His voice was calm, deep, and completely unbothered.

So I could not accompany Willow at first.

He glanced at me briefly. Sorry, I had to leave you here alone. We should have entered together.

For a moment, I forgot how to speak. Around the table, the reactions were immediate.

You came here for Willow?someone asked.

Another voice followed.

Wait, seriously?

Is that true?

I could feel Serena’s stare burning into my side. Marcus, meanwhile, looked like someone had just handed him a puzzle he could not solve. He straightened in his seat and leaned forward.

Is that true?Marcus asked, his gaze fixed on me.

He looked between the two of us.

Yes,I said.

The word came out confidently. He’s my date for the night.

The silence that followed was glorious.

Marcus’s expression froze while Serena’s smile twitched slightly. Meanwhile, the rest of the table looked completely stunned.

Just then, Tristan did something that made my heart skip. He wrapped his arm around me. His hand rested gently around my waist as he pulled me slightly closer to him.

He leaned down slightly, his breath brushing near my ear.

Let’s talk later,he whispered quietly.

My entire face heated instantly. I nodded before I could stop myself.

Okay,I murmured.

Across the table, several people were watching us with wide eyes. Some of the more oblivious ones immediately reacted.

You two look good together, someone said.

Yeah, actually.

I see the vision.

Right?

Tristan leaned back slightly in his chair before smirking.

It wasn’t a big reaction, but somehow, it made the entire table even quieter. From that moment on, atmosphere shifted completely.

Before Tristan arrived, the attention had been on me, but it wasn’t great at all.

the

Now, all eyes were on him. People began whispering, and a few guests from nearby tables glanced over in both curiosity and amazement.

Suddenly, nobody seemed interested in questioning my place here anymore.

With that, Serena looked visibly irritated.

Marcus looked even worse.
