Margaret Tucker AKA Lord Reaper novel Chapter 139

Raymond didn't say a word, just a bitter smile tugging at his lips.

He deserved this.

He'd make up for it to her with real actions, little by little!!

Margaret went for her morning run.

Raymond, meanwhile, went back to his room, took a hot shower, and changed into clean clothes.

An hour later...

In the living room, Margaret ate her breakfast at a leisurely pace.

She was alone in the room.

A servant had just told her that Clara had run a high fever all night, her life hanging in the balance. Matthew and Nichole had rushed her to the hospital in the middle of the night.

No one knew if she was alive or dead yet.

At that moment, Margaret actually hoped Clara would survive.

After all, if she died like this, it would be way too easy on her.

Clara still hadn't endured the agony of broken limbs that the original Matthew had suffered through.

She hadn't even started truly destroying her physically and mentally...

After breakfast, Margaret headed to the garage as usual.

As soon as she got there, Raymond greeted her enthusiastically. "Maggie, you're done eating? Was the breakfast good? If not, just tell me what you want, and I'll buy it for you. Money's no object for us."

Seeing Raymond, Margaret stopped and gave him a strange look.

He was really something. He'd knelt through that freezing night, yet here he was, standing in front of her looking as energetic as ever.

And she'd never expected him to be such a clingy pain in the neck.

She thought he was a rebellious, cold, and irritable teen...

Margaret replied coldly, "The breakfast was fine."

Her attitude toward Raymond was neither hostile nor friendly—just indifferent, like he was a stranger.

Seeing she was still so cold, the bright light in Raymond's eyes dimmed for a moment.

But in an instant, he perked up again!

"Look at all these motorcycles in the garage—I built every single one myself! You know, I'm the youngest and most badass racing champion in Karemin!"

Raymond introduced himself excitedly, showing off without holding back.

He'd never cared much about these empty honors before, but now he thought they might come in handy.

Maybe Margaret would admire him just like all those other girls?

Duh, girls love this awesome crap!

Margaret must dig it too, yeah?

C'mon—admit I'm cool already!

Raymond was stunned. Her tone is so cold.

In Raymond's mind, the only reason she was so unimpressed was because she didn't understand racing and couldn't feel its charm!

Once he took her for a spin himself, letting her feel the thrill of racing against the wind, she'd definitely be hooked on this exciting sport!

And then, naturally, she'd start admiring him, the racing champion!!

Yeah, that's the plan!

Step one to winning her over: conquer her with my most confident skill—racing!

Raymond swung his long leg over a cool black heavy motorcycle.

He said to Margaret, "Hurry up! I'll take you for a ride!"

Raymond could feel his heart pounding wildly!!

He hadn't been this excited in ages!

He'd drive super fast.

Margaret's never ridden a racing bike before—she's totally gonna freak out! Then she'll have to hold onto my waist tight!

Just thinking about that scene made Raymond's blood boil uncontrollably!!

Margaret took the helmet, but instead of getting on the back of Raymond's bike, she walked to the other side.

She swung her long leg over with ease, nimbly mounting another black heavy motorcycle.
