Margaret Tucker AKA Lord Reaper novel Chapter 141

So what if Margaret actually knew how to handle a heavy bike? He still didn't give a damn.

He was a national champion!

And soon enough, he'd be a world champion!

From the Tucker Villa to school, it took 50 minutes at a normal speed for an average person.

He could've totally let her take a 30-minute head start, and even if he only took 20 minutes to get to school, he'd still crush it.

But Margaret snapped coldly, "Cut the crap. I don't wanna win cheap."

"Fine," he conceded, no other choice.

Right then, he thought to himself that he'd hold back on purpose later, stick close to Margaret's speed and then hit the gas right before the school so he wouldn't humiliate her too bad.

"Go!"

As soon as the word left her lips, Margaret's black heavy bike took off like a bolt of lightning!

Raymond was floored again!

That's one hell of a launch!

Guess Margaret actually has some chops!

Raymond dropped his laid-back vibe and got down to business.

He slammed the gas too!

His bike took off like a bolt of lightning too!

The engine roared like a beast, echoing through the entire villa!

Just outside the gate, there was a turn only ten or so yards away.

Raymond hung back behind Margaret. As she closed in on the turn, instead of slowing down, she kept gunning it!

Raymond's heart jumped into his throat!

He couldn't help but yell, "Maggie, slow down! You'll crash!!"

Taking a turn that fast was only for pro racers. A regular person couldn't control the bike at all—they'd go flying off with it!

Panic flooded him!

He regretted it!

He never should've raced her. What if Margaret went balls to the wall, speeding like crazy just to beat him—and got into a wreck?

Margaret's bike was getting closer and closer to the turn!

Is she out of her mind trying to do herself in like this?

Raymond couldn't help but hold his breath!

His heart was pounding a mile a minute!

He'd never been this nervous in his life!

Margaret has to be okay!

He was terrified Margaret'd go flying off the bike when she hit that turn!

And the odds of that happening were through the roof—100%, because she was going way too fast!

At that speed, 90% of pro racers couldn't keep control and would crash!

Let alone Margaret—just a regular person! And a girl at that!

But the next second—

Whoa!

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

What the hell just went down?

A drift!

Margaret actually knows how to drift!

She totally nailed that drift like it was nothing—going that speed, she was practically flying!

Why does this feel so familiar?

It's like I've seen this exact scene somewhere before!

He thought about how he'd thought Margaret couldn't ride and how he'd thought she was suicidal.

But now...

Man, that burn stings like crazy!

No flipping way!

I gotta step up my game!

Margaret actually had skills. If he kept messing around, he might actually lose!

Raymond's gaze turned sharp!

Margaret's drift just now proved that she was qualified to race against him!

But—he wasn't going to lose!

This kind of drift was child's play to him—super easy!

Raymond's bike also tore forward at full speed, pulling off a sick drift too!

Squeal!

The tires screeched violently against the ground at high speed, making an adrenaline-pumping sound. A black skid mark was left on the pavement!

On the busy road, the two black heavy bikes raced forward like two blurs!

One after the other, neck and neck, neither giving an inch!

Raymond was fully locked in now. Inside his stuffy helmet, sweat dripped down his forehead.

Along the way, his expression had gone from relaxed and confident at first, to dead serious after getting repeatedly schooled!
