Teachers stuck with this class had long dumped lofty crap like “imparting wisdom” or “raising exam top dogs.”

Their only goal? Walk in alive, walk out the same. Period

“Raymond, word’s out your hick sister pulled another dumb stunt yesterday,” some guy hooted from the back of the room.

Raymond slouched in his chair, propped up on one leg. Leaning against the bookshelf behind, he tossed his long legs onto the desk, looking more like a street punk than a student, cool but totally unhinged.

A bunch of guys his age hung around, acting like his yes men.

Disgust flashed across Raymond’s face. “Her mess ain’t my problem. I don’t even know the chick! And she’s not my sister-I’d never claim some ugly, hickish airhead as family.”

Raymond hated Margaret with a passion-treated her like a mortal enemy, basically.

Why? Within days of Margaret moving into Tucker Villa, she almost got him killed.

Since then, Raymond had acted like she didn’t exist.

“Hell yeah! That country bumpkin’s so ugly and tacky-he can’t be your sister. Bet the Tuckers messed up or something. You gotta get a DNA test.”

Before Raymond could fire back, the classroom door slammed open. A girl in a school uniform strode in.

Tall and lean, with a high ponytail snapping behind her she had an oval face with sharp, delicate features and tan skin. She made that boring uniform look like high-end couture.

Pure fire! Drop-dead gorgeous! Breathtaking!

Every last person in Class 19 froze-Raymond included even with his stuck-up taste.

“Whoa-she’s an angel! Freaking stunning!”

“That drab uniform looks like a luxury brand on her!”

“I’m in love!”

“Me too!”

“I wanna dump my girl and fall for her instead!”

“Is she a new transfer?”

“Hey, beauty! Over here! My family’s in real estate-loaded!”

“Chill out, guys! Don’t scare her off!”

The classroom erupted into total chaos.

The teacher on the podium finally snapped out of his daze. Rubbing his eyes, he frowned, confused as hell.

“Miss, did you wander into the wrong class?”

The racket irked Margaret. She knit her brows, her voice cold and steady. “I’m a student here.”

The teacher was even more confused. No one told me about a new kid.

In the back, Raymond locked eyes on the girl by the door, his expression sharp as a blade.

His buddies caught on and snickered. “Raymond, you into her?”

“Wow, pigs’ll fly before that! Mr. Picky finally found a girl he likes!”

Raymond ignored their jabs. He just stared, his sharp eyes glinting with something like excitement.

She looks just like Mom!

ret didn’t give the teacher a second glance. She marched straight into the classroom.

Standing on the podium, she looked down at the rowdy crowd, a sharp smirk tugging at her lips. “Hi everyone. Let’s start over-I’m Margaret Tucker, the real heiress of the Tucker family.”

Silence. Dead silence!

Her clear, cold voice hit the room like a bomb. Everyone went mute, eyes bugging out as they stared at the confident, stunning girl on the podium.

It was the calm right before a tornado hit.

Sure enough, a few seconds later, the classroom blew up-so loud it shook the walls, loud enough for the

next classrooms to hear.

“No way! This total bombshell says she’s that ugly hick Margaret?!”

“Am I dreaming? Someone slap me-hard!”

“Ouch! You actually did it, you jackass!”

“Wait a sec-she looks exactly like Raymond! Same eyes same nose, same mouth. They gotta be blood!”

“Oh! So Margaret was faking being ugly this whole time Makes sense-Raymond’s a hottie; his real sister can’t be a dog.”

“Guys, I’m calling Raymond ‘bro-in-law’ from now on.”

“Me too!”

“Count me in!”

“Same here!”

Amid the chaos, Margaret slung her backpack over one houlder and sauntered to the back row. She plopped down right next to the trash can.

Every move she made had all eyes glued to her.

The guys were shocked and stoked.
