Margaret Tucker AKA Lord Reaper novel Chapter 93

Chapter 93 A Public Backlash

Jose frowned, staring at his leg like it was covered in garbage. He was totally grossed out. Let go! You’re not good enough for me! And what does this have to do with Margaret?!”

Just mentioning Margaret made Jose’s voice rise.

Ever since the engagement fell apart, her proud, confident, stunning face had been stuck in his head-he couldn’t shake it.

Clara noticed his weird reaction right away. He is hung up on that hick!

Every woman knew what it meant when a guy couldn’t stop thinking about another girl.

Her heart ached like it was being squeezed. Rage burned through her, clouding her judgment.

Why won’t Margaret just drop dead?! That country bumpkin, that cheap tramp-she’s trying to steal Jose right out from under me!

Jose’s being so cold to me because he’s totally fallen for her! That hick must’ve put some stupid spell on him or something!

“Let go!” Jose kicked his leg, but Clara clung tighter. He lost his patience and kicked her away-like she was a piece of trash.

Clara fell to the floor, screaming in pain. Her throat was raw from crying. “Jose, don’t leave me! I love you so much!”

But no matter how hard she sobbed, Jose’s heart was stone. He didn’t even glance back as he walked away.

After the Millers left, Matthew looked down at Clara. His face was full of anger and disgust-no sympathy at all. “Quit making a fool of yourself! You’ve embarrassed me enough!”

He stormed out of the lounge too.

“Mom, it’s all Margaret’s fault!” Clara wailed, throwing herself into Nichole’s arms. “That hick ruined everything! I’ll kill her! I’ll kill her!”

All her rage was focused on Margaret.

Clara and Michelle’s videos spread across Karemin, sparking total chaos. The public was furious-especially animal lovers, who hated their cruelty more than anything,

Someone leaked word that Clara and Michelle were at the Imperial Hotel. An hour later, the street outside was packed with angry people.

As Clara, Michelle, and their families walked out of the hotel, they were greeted by a roar of insults. The crowd stretched as far as the eye could see.

“Monsters!”

“Murderers!”

Chapter 93 A Public Backlash

“Michelle, how could you be so cruel to helpless animals?!”

“Fake nice girl! Two-faced liar!”

Angry people in the crowd started throwing things-water bottles, books, trash bags, even raw eggs.

“Ah! Get away from me!”

“Help! Someone stop them!”

Clara and Michelle were like rats in the street-pelted from all sides. Raw eggs smashed on their clothes, leaving them stinking and filthy.

“Back inside! Use the back exit!” Matthew yelled. He and the Millers were caught in the crossfire too, hit by flying trash.

Once noble and respected, they now looked like total wrecks-hated and chased by everyone.

At the gaming café, Rickie stared at his black screen, devastated. “Boss, you totally lied about never playing this game!” he groaned. “You’re crushing me out here!”

He was a national top-tier player-ranked Challenger with 2,000 points. But in lvl, Margaret was wiping the floor with him.

And she still claimed she’d never played the game before. Rickie didn’t buy it at all.

Margaret closed the game and mocked him without mercy. “You just suck. Gaming’s easy—you just need hands, right?”

Rickie was rendered speechless. I’m a pro! This is humiliating.

“Let’s go.” Margaret checked the time, shut down the computer, and stood up to leave.

“Boss, where to?” Rickie wasn’t done-he wanted a rematch.

Margaret gave him a mysterious grin. “To watch a show.”

Rickie had no idea what was going on. He pulled out his phone to check-only to find a new text. Curious, he opened it. The videos made his eyes pop out.

“Boss! Clara and Michelle’s dirty laundry’s all over the internet!” he exclaimed,

He opened Twitter-every trending topic was about them. The whole country was bashing the two girls.

When they stepped out of the gaming café, Rickie was shocked again.

Every billboard on the street was playing those scandal videos. It was insane.

He stared at Margaret’s tall, confident figure walking ahead. He couldn’t believe it. “Boss… did you hire a team to do this?”
