What even is this PR team? There’s no way they pulled this off legally! This isn’t PR-it’s straight-up hacking! Like, top- tier hacker crew level!

Margaret stayed calm, with no hint of hiding. “I had someone do it.”

Rickie stared hard at her for a second and then bowed to her without a second thought.

Margaret raised an eyebrow, confused. “What are you doing?”

Rickie was dead serious and totally thick-skinned. “Boss, from now on, I, Rickie Sargent, am your man! I’m sticking with you no matter what!”

He didn’t have many skills, but he trusted his gut.

Margaret’s a total hidden legend! A straight-up powerhouse! She’s the big gun I have to cling to!

“Hmm.” Margaret didn’t mind him. Rickie was funny, in his own way.

When Margaret and Rickie reached the hotel, they saw Clara, Michelle, and their families being chased by an angry mob. They looked utterly pathetic.

Clara and Michelle had gotten separated from their parents.

Night had fallen, and they’d scrambled into a narrow alley to hide. They held their breath, watching the crowd pass by outside. Finally, they exhaled.

They’d been on the run for half an hour. Exhausted, they collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air.

Gone were the glamorous heiresses-their clothes and hair were caked in filth: vegetable leaves, egg yolk, all sorts of gross stuff.

Huddled in the corner, they smelled so bad they wanted to throw up. But the mob was still searching for them. They couldn’t make a sound-they just had to endure.

Another group of people walked past the alley. No one spotted them. They relaxed a little.

Michelle spat out every word, her tone laced with pure malice. “Clara, that hick Margaret did this! I swear I’ll kill her! I’ll chop off her hands and feet and torture her to death just like those animals!”

Footsteps echoed in the quiet alley. Clara and Michelle tensed up, whipping their heads toward the sound.

At the alley entrance stood a stunning girl. Her delicate face held nothing but mockery and cold disdain as she looked at them.

“Margaret! You bumpkin!”

“Margaret! I’ll kill you!”

Seeing her, Clara and Michelle snapped. They lunged forward-until the sound of people walking nearby

made them freeze.

They glared at Margaret, teeth bared.

“Leave! Now!” Michelle hissed. “If you stay, you’ll give us away!”

Revenge on Margaret could wait-right now, terror had them in a chokehold.

The mob had already pelted them with garbage like they were nothing but vermin, and the last thing they needed was to get caught.

Later, they’d come for Margaret. There would be plenty of chances to finish the job.

Margaret ignored their threats. She even gave them a meaningful, cold smile.

Clara’s and Michelle’s stomachs dropped-something was wrong.

“Margaret, if you dare expose us-” Clara’s threats died in her throat.

Rickie’s loud, booming voice cut through the air. “Everyone! Clara and Michelle are in this alley! Over here!”

Clara’s and Michelle’s faces turned ashen.

Footsteps thundered from all directions, closing in on them.

“You bitch! How dare you?!” they shrieked, faces twisted in rage. They wanted to tear Margaret apart-but the approaching footsteps made them panic.

“The bitches are really here! Hurry up!”

“Block the other end of the alley! Don’t let them escape!”

“Don’t go easy on these scumbags! Hurl your rotten eggs-all your trash-at those guys! Just don’t finish them off!”

Clara and Michelle were trapped. Flashlights and phone lights flooded the alley, blinding them. It felt like being paraded as criminals-humiliating beyond words.

“Please! Spare us!” they wailed. “Mom! Dad! Help!”

They were on the verge of a breakdown.

Covered in filth, stinking to high heaven, and ringed by furious strangers-they looked like clowns.

“Now you’re begging?” someone shouted. “Where was your mercy when you tortured those animals? When you bullied people?”

“Monsters! Go to hell!”

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Rotten eggs, garbage, and all sorts of gross things rained down on them.

“Ah! Get away!”
