Chapter 574: They Are Here

"My loyal servants and children of the eternal abyss, listen to your one and only demon queen. Tonight~ .... you will be witnessing history in the making," taking her position in the centre of the four powerful demon circles, Elisa spoke, her green orbs glimmering as they darted around her and Aamon’s minions, her voice firm and commanding.

Hundreds of legions present were elated by her opening words. They thumped their feet, roaring in excitement. Their syncing rhythm was deafening to the ears, as it grew louder and louder, shouting with pure exhilaration, "ALL HAIL THE DEMON QUEEN! ALL HAIL THE DEMON QUEEN! ALL HAIL THE DEMON QUEEN! QUEEN~~~ QUEEN~~~ QUEEN~~~"

Elisa, seeing them hailing her return with dark ecstasy and much anticipation, gleamed radiantly. Their exulting voices were like a melodic symphony to her ears. Upturning her head towards the brightly lit night sky, she took in a deep, long breath, soaking in the atmosphere, her past glory resurfacing in her mind.

She has been the ruler of the demon world for nearly a millennium in hell’s time frame. Sucking and feeding on any living being’s fears and turning them into terrifying nightmares was something she was immensely proud of. It made her feel empowered. It made her feel alive in a darker sense. It gave her a sense of euphoria.

She thought she was unstoppable, invincible. Nothing could touch her. Nobody could lay a hand on her, no matter what she did.

But now, after what she had gone through the past year, her eyes were wide awake. The realization of her reality was injected into her with much brutality.

Overnight, she was stripped of her long standing title, of her powers, of her status and thrown into the mortal world mercilessly like a ragged, discarded piece. No one gave her face. She had to live amongst these filthy pests on earth, bow her head to them, face humiliation from such lower beings. It wasn’t acceptable, but she has endured it all. She had endured too much. Her eyes were on the throne of hell now. She wanted, she was vying for it, so that nobody, no god, no lord, no king, no emperor, no demon, no being in heaven, hell or on earth~ ... nothing could make her feel small again. This time, she will take the reins into her own hands and become truly invincible.

With this determination, she spoke again, "The hour of the reckoning is upon us. The dark liturgy begins." She glanced at the burning fire pit, hellfire created by Aamon’s power. Raising both her hands, she chanted, "Oo~ .... the mighty blazing flames of chasm~ .... take these and hear Elisa’s call." Her voice was loud, reverberating.

The cheering of her devotees grew to such a degree that even the ground beneath them and the sturdy, centuries old trees rooted in it had begun to shake violently. Everyone was holding a small fragment of hellfire in their blackened hands, making them look like poisonous fireflies.

Pivoting her hands down, she let go of the red stringed, protective moon charms into the raging inferno. The fire engulfed them instantly as she continued, "By the blood and sweat of the Marquis of Hell, Aamon and the binding ties of the four eternal demon circles, I call your true name from the shadows. The four Lycan heirs of the Moon Shine Pack: Brave Everests, Alaric Everests, Dion Everests, Elio Everests. Step into the light of my command, surrender your waking will, and answer to my summons, your master."

Elisa’s eyes started glowing again as she announced, "They are here~~~" looking in a certain direction. Every fiber of her being was tingling in excitement.

The Everests brothers were all walking side by side, their steps mechanical, their eyes dark. Hypnotized, they reached the edge of the demon circles. Elisa, with great exuberance, muttered, "Lycans heirs, look into the centre of the rings, where your thoughts dissolve, and your purpose aligns with mine. Once inside, the cage of your mortal will merge into my shadow, and your mind will turn into a blank slate. You will wake only to my voice, obey only my decree."
