(Author’s POV)
"Step inside, my child, Myra. I have been waiting for you," a soft, serene voice called for her. Enchanted, her feet started on their own; her steps were careful as if she was treading on ice.
As soon as she walked inside, Myra’s eyes went as wide as saucers. "Wh~ what is this? And~ .... who~ ... who is this person? Is she one of the angels from heaven? My gosh, she is gorgeous." Myra was captivated by her charm and kept staring at her like an idiot. Obliviously, she had let her inner thoughts slip out of her mouth.
The woman standing in front of her chuckled lightly at her choice of words; her smile was as radiant as a sunburst, lighting the entire place.
Realizing, she quickly covered her mouth. Her cheeks flushed red with raw embarrassment as she lowered her head at once.
The room she was standing in now looked like a place straight out of a fantasy world. To be honest, calling it a room would be a blatant disrespect. It was thrice as big as those massive audience halls from those royal dramas. But she wasn’t shocked by the mere size. It was the interior. The floor was crystal, the walls were twinkling with stars and pearls, and the rows of chairs lined up on either side were made up of pure diamonds. And the throne placed in the far center was crescent shaped with starlight crystals embedded at every inch. It was blinding.
As for the woman- she was, as Myra uttered, drop dead gorgeous. Donning a pearl and diamond encrusted white silver gown, she resembled a celestial goddess from head to toe. Her dewy, pinkish skin looked lustrous. Her posture was filled with poise and elegance. The way her chin was tilted a little high, yet she didn’t seem arrogant at all. The kindness in her eyes remained intact.
She was flawless, graceful in every possible way. And the bejewelled, haloed crown representing different phases of the moon over her silver long wavy locks was telling another mesmerizing tale of its own.
"DON’T FEEL SHY. LOOK AT ME, MY CHILD," the person said. The coolness in her tone was like therapy. Myra, still red faced, didn’t look up. She then said, "WERE YOU NOT CURIOUS ABOUT MY IDENTITY? I WILL TELL YOU."
Feeling awkward, Myra raised her head meekly. She didn’t say a word, just bit her lower lip, fidgeting with her fingers, waiting for the woman to start.
The woman gave her another one of her vibrant beams and spoke, "I AM~ .... THE GODDESS OF THE MOON. AND ... THIS IS THE LUMINESCENT ATRIUM IN MY LUNAR CASTLE." She introduced herself; serenity dripped from her expressions, and the calmness in her voice remained as is.
For the nth time, Myra was left stupefied, her eyes blinking rapidly, her mouth agape. Stammering, she mumbled, "M~ ... mm~ .... The Moon Goddess? Like the actual celestial goddess?" She had heard Nora and the brothers calling their divine deity with this title.
Her eyes once again darted around as she noticed everything here represented the moon somehow. "So~ ... this is your castle and not heaven?" Myra added; her voice came out muddled.
"YES, I AM THE MOON GODDESS. AND THIS IS NOT HEAVEN, BUT THE CASTLE I RESIDE IN," the goddess answered patiently.
’But what am I doing here? Do all the dead beings come here first?’ Myra questioned in her mind. Yet somehow, the goddess heard her thoughts.
"MY DEAR CHILD, YOU SUMMONED MY PRESENCE, SO I BROUGHT YOU TO MY PALACE," the goddess appeased her curiosity once again.
"I~ ... summoned you?" Myra was perplexed by the statement. ’When did I ever~ ...?’ Her voice faded as a thought arose in her mind. When taking her last few breaths, she had called for the god above to listen to her prayers. Maybe this was what the goddess was talking about.
The moon goddess smiled again, "THE BRACELET IN YOUR HAND IS MADE FROM THE STRAND OF MY HAIR. I GAVE IT TO ONE OF MY BELOVED CHILDREN, MOANA."
"NO. I DID NOT," the goddess told her bluntly.
Hearing her answer, Myra’s face drained of all colour. ’So, I~ ... really am dead.’ Even though she knew the reality, it still made her heart ache; her eyes moistened instantly. But the goddess’s next words caught her off guard. "~YOU SAVED YOURSELF."
The goddess just nodded as she settled on her throne. The moment she sat down, the gemstones on it brightened, as if they had come to life. "YOU SAVED NOT JUST YOURSELF, BUT ALSO THE ONES FATED TO YOU BY BOND. "
Knowing that the Lycan brothers were safe, Myra let out a sigh of relief. The moon goddess continued, "MY CHILD, YOU ARE NO ORDINARY BEING. YOU ARE GIFTED, MYRA. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE COUNTLESS LIVES. I HAVE BESTOWED ON YOU MY ETERNAL BLESSINGS. YOU DON’T NEED TO BE SAVED BY ANYONE."

This time, the goddess didn’t smile. Her face remained neutral, and her eyes stayed clear as she said, "EVERY BEING ON EARTH IS MY CHILD AND HAS A DESTINY TO FOLLOW. BUT SOME ARE MORE TREASURED BY ME. YOU ARE ONE OF THE FEW. YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE. AND SOME INSOLENT BEINGS ENVY THE ATTENTION AND TRY TO HARM MY CHILDREN."
Myra didn’t fully understand her words. Sensing this, the moon goddess added, "ON THE DAY YOU WERE CONCEIVED INTO THE MORTAL WORLD, IT WAS A BLUE MOON NIGHT, A RARE POWERFUL OCCASION. THAT NIGHT, I WATCHED THE INJUST ACT THAT HAPPENED WITH YOUR MOTHER. AND I KNOW THE SUFFERINGS YOU HAVE ENDURED, MYRA. I KNOW EVERYTHING." She sounded remorseful.
