(Author’s POV)
"What you are saying is~ ... is Mrs. Amy Garcia your biological mother?" Elio’s voice came out high-pitched and shocked. Even Brave, whose focus was ahead, suddenly stopped the car in the middle of the road. They both turned around at the same time and stared at Myra like they had seen a ghost.
Myra, her thoughts jumbled and chaotic, quickly realised what she had said. Blinking rapidly, she sat up straight and pursed her lips.
Her unnatural reaction was enough to give them the answer. Brave asked further, his brows knitted, "Since when do you know about this?"
Myra hesitated, but now that the cat was out of the bag, she couldn’t take back her words. She replied with all honesty, "At the dinner with Garcias, the evening I was kidnapped."
"You know from that time?" Elio exclaimed.
Myra nodded. "Amy announced it in front of her family and me."
The brothers were left speechless for a while. Finding his voice again, Brave questioned, "Who else knows about it other than you and the Garcias?"
"Now~ .... you two," Myra mumbled. "Amy Garcia is Amelia Clinton. My birth mother~ .... The girl those vicious schemers have trapped twenty years ago." She looked out of the window at nothing in particular, her eyes turning moist. "So, she is the one who should receive apologizes from Garry Yates and everyone else, not me. She is the one who had suffered the most. She is the one~ ...." She paused, her voice choked, "~who deserves the truth more than anyone else." Her nose turned red as she tried to hold back her tears.
The car fell into a stifling quietness. Whether it was the bond or something else, they could feel Myra’s wrecked emotional state. Their hearts ached with pain at the sight of her like that.
Brave then spoke, his voice reassuring, "Whoever was a part of that malicious deal, whether it was that Denver Brooks or any other being, I will find each one of them and make them kneel in front of you and your mother. I promise, Myra. None~ ... none of them will be left unscathed. They will all get the punishment they deserve. This time, they will be the ones begging for mercy."
Myra clenched her injured fist a bit too tightly, then released it but said nothing.
Brave started the engine again as the car drove off.
After what had happened, Myra’s body was too tired. Resting her head on the windowsill, she closed her eyes and fell into another deep slumber.

(Myra’s POV)
The sound of waves crashing against the shore woke me up. I opened my eyes and found myself in yet another unfamiliar space. No, wait~ .... this place isn’t unfamiliar. I have been here before, with Fabian.
Wasn’t I riding back home with Elio and Brave in the car? What am I doing here? Did they bring me to this place?" My eyes darted around in search of them. But surprisingly, they were nowhere to be seen.
A frown appeared on my face as I started walking. At some distance, I saw two people sitting side by side on the beach. The guy’s head was inclined towards the girl as he was listening to her words attentively.
I couldn’t catch what they were saying from back there.
