Chapter 72
Freda’s POV
I was beyond aroused. I wanted Damien, my mate. I’d been tempted
for too long. Not anymore.
His palm on my nipple sent a shock through my body. His face and
how he stared into my soul made my core ache.
His nails–which I hadn’t noticed were so sharp–clung to my light
nightdress as he began to tear it down my chest.
The air in the room brushed my body, confirming I was becoming
bare. He leaned closer, his lips grazing my neck. It tickled
affectionately, and I wanted him to continue.
He planted kisses from my neck to my shoulder before saying,
“Forgive me if I ruin hours of your sleep.”
I didn’t mind. Just what I wanted, my king. I tilted my head to the
other side, giving him more access to my neck.
He slowly hovered over me as I turned to face him–not the ceiling,
him. His hand pressed against my shoulders, pinning me to the bed.

I saw his eyes drinking in my bare breasts. He’d ripped my nightwear,
but only enough to reveal them. He crouched closer, his breath on my
skin causing me to gasp in expectation.
His mouth was on my nipple, and I was already gasping his name.
“Damien…”
He widened his mouth, taking more of my breast in and sucking
gently. My nails gripped the sheets, and I arched my back so he could
take me fully. He did, supporting my posture with his hand behind
His other hand squeezed my breast, his thumb stroking my nipple.
Two pleasures at once, and I was rippling with need.
“D…a…” Just meaningless sounds, all I could utter.
“Let it out, Freda. Let it out.” A growl escaped his lips.
I wrapped my hands around his neck, pushing his mouth harder
against me. He listened, increasing his pace and adding gentle bites.
My fingers pressed harder on his head.
I loved how gentle he’d been at first. How he was paying attention to
every detail of my body.

My core pulsed with desperate need. My hands roughened his hair as
he moved to my second breast, doing the same thing he’d done to the
first.
But this time, his name filled the room. I held his face, bringing his
lips to mine as I plunged my tongue and kissed him harder. He made
my body erupt–a feeling I’d never experienced.
I didn’t care about our fights. I cared about all the fantasies I’d
imagined Damien fulfilling.
His hand traced my thighs, and I stopped him when he almost
reached between them. With a ragged breath, I said, “That’s… too far.”
“You’re already soaking wet. It’s only right to part your sea.” He
whispered. I could feel the liquid trailing down my lap. He was right—
there was an ocean down there.
I was trembling when his hand reached the center of my thighs. His
fingers rubbed against my slickness. His fingers reached my opening,
the sound of my wetness causing him to gasp. “Oh, Freda, you’re so
ready for me.”
“I am, Damien.” My fingers dug into his back, urging him to go
further. His fingers went deeper, and I moaned loudly.

I didn’t care if the guards could hear me. As long as Damien loved this
sound, it was his.
Slowly he moved down to my thighs, his breath on my skin as he raised my nightdress to my waist, leaving me bare to his gaze.
“What are you doing?” I panicked.
“Worshipping you, Freda. Before your coronation.”
“No… I…” I rubbed my hand through his hair, trying to drag him up.
“Damien, don’t… worship me, I…” What was I saying? I had no reason
to refuse. I was only scared I’d lose all composure if he dared place
his face between my thighs.
“I have my cycle, Damien. You can’t…”
“What are vampires for if not to enjoy some blood?” His red eyes
meant every word, and I realized I’d given the most foolish excuse.
His breath became hot between my thighs, and I started to cry out. “Tell me, Freda. Why weren’t you asleep?”
Before I could speak, his lips met my folds, tasting my arousal. I
screamed like I’d been electrified.

“Speak words, Freda.” He said.
