Medical Genius Unspeakable Marriage (Matthew Larson) novel Chapter 3734

The Medusa Gang still caused chaos, and Matthew knew that caring for a baby alone would be too heavy a burden.

He thought back to the days when he had looked after Ariya, and the memory drove him forward. Ariya came to his mind, and he set off at once.

"It has been so long since I saw Ariya," Matthew murmured as he gently rocked the infant in his arms. "I am certain that little girl misses me, and this time I am even bringing her a baby brother to play with."

He spoke to the newborn with a soft smile on his lips.

When Matthew reached Ronny's district, his face shifted back into Matteo's familiar features.

"Trafficker, meet your end by my blade!" a voice rang out.

A sharp figure lunged from behind, and Matthew spun, catching the short sword between two fingers with effortless precision.

"Ms. Bloody Rose," Matthew said with calm, "it has been a long time."

"Mr. Matteo? Is that really you?" Bloody Rose gasped, her voice full of shock before it shifted to respect.

Matthew glanced at himself and understood the reason for the hostile reception earlier.

His rough clothes were stained with blood from the delivery, and the newborn in his arms made the scene look grim. No wonder Bloody Rose thought he was a trafficker.

He cursed himself for changing his face but forgetting to change his clothes.

"Mr. Matteo, why are you dressed this way? And this baby … surely this cannot be your wife's third child?" Bloody Rose asked, suspicion mixing with confusion.

Matthew rubbed his forehead in exasperation, wondering what Ryan had been thinking when he chose her as a subordinate.

"This is a long story. Get me a car and take me to Ronny," Matthew ordered.

"I will fetch one right away," Bloody Rose replied, vanishing in a blur.

Within moments, a luxury car screeched to a halt. Bloody Rose returned and ushered Matthew inside, taking him straight to Ronny's estate.

The soldiers at the gate saluted Matthew the instant he stepped out of the car, their respect clear in every movement.

Bloody Rose was about to order the soldiers to announce Matthew's arrival, but Matthew lifted a hand to stop her.

"There is no need for formality. Go tend to your duties," he told her.

Once she left, Matthew entered the villa, still carrying the infant.

Ronny sat at his desk, his face sharp with focus, while Ryan lounged nearby, playing games with Ariya.

"Ariya," Matthew called softly.

"Go buy formula, clothes, a crib, toys, and diapers immediately!" Ryan commanded.

"Bring me my storybook! I want to read to the baby!" Ariya shouted with determination.

...

Hours of rushing and fussing followed, but soon the newborn was cared for. The nurse fed him formula, bathed him, and dressed him in fresh clothes.

He now rested in a soft and beautiful crib, his tiny chest rising and falling as Ariya read a story beside him.

Matthew, changed into a crisp white robe, looked clean and composed once more.

"What happened to you while you were gone?" Ronny asked.

Ryan echoed the question, both men leaning in, their eyes sharp and demanding answers.

Matthew told them every detail of what he had witnessed about the Medusa Gang, and their faces darkened with anger.

Yet even Matthew admitted he still could not track down the gang's true den, and without that knowledge they were left powerless.

"You can help me by taking in this child," Matthew said firmly.
