"Let's not tell Ariya about this for now. Instead, why don't we wait till Ronny's better before reuniting the two?" Matthew suggested.

Matthew merely smiled and patted Ryan on the shoulder.

Meanwhile, District 12 was far from peaceful as another organization bared its fangs.

Ronny did not go down quietly. As a result, news of his injuries had spread like wildfire. Although most had the tact not to discuss it aloud, it still didn't stop them from gossiping about it.

Rumors claimed that Ronny was severely injured and his life was hanging on a thread. His condition was so bad that several famous doctors they'd hired all failed to treat him.

As knowledge of Ronny's impending doom continued to spread, his status in District 12 became unstable.

Ronny nodded in agreement. He couldn't help but find Matthew's presence oddly soothing.

However, the new growth was very vulnerable. It was akin to the skin of an infant. One wrong move and Ronny might suffer. So, none dared to come close to take a better look at it.

Once Matthew saw that Ronny's worst injuries were more or less alright, he gave Ronny a mini Rejuvenating Pill.

Ronny's face was now pink with health. Ryan could only stare, utterly agog and in awe.
