Chapter 72-1
Cash’s POV

Even though I had my eyes on the prize, I had manners, especially when it came to my dear grandmother. Walking past Raven to my grandmother, I leaned down, placing a kiss on her cheek, before I apologized to her, by saying, “I am sorry grandmother, but I must steal my mate from your presence.”
A soft smile slowly formed on my grandmother’s face, as I turned towards Raven, who stared at me with widened eyes from my confession to my grandmother. I didn’t even give Raven a moment to respond, as I plucked her right from the barstool, making her let out a yelp, while the spoon that was in her hand fell to the countertop with a clang.
“Cash, what are you doing?” Raven nervously asks, as I toss her over my right shoulder, and begin to carry her up the stairs to my room.
Ever since the kiss that we shared in the barn, I couldn’t stop thinking about getting Raven alone to myself. The mere thought of filling my room with her scent, just as Chance had filled his room with it, felt exuberant, especially to know that every night I would have my mate’s scent to put me and my wolf at ease before bed.
As I carried her up the stairs and down the long hallway, past Chance’s room, Raven said to me, “Cash, you know I can walk. You don’t have to carry me like a caveman.”
I chuckled at her reference to a caveman, as it did suit what looked like a domineering moment I was having with her, but in all reality, it was just me wanting a moment of my mate’s time. I was finally able to be alone with her in a way like Chance had been, being her so–called boyfriend. Now that the cat was partially out of the bag, and Raven seemed to be on board, I didn’t have to keep my feelings towards her any longer in check.
Pushing my bedroom door open with my foot, I carried Raven through my threshold, straight to my bed, wanting her sweet scent of honey to enrich the fabric of my sheets. As I gently laid Raven down on my bed, her eyes stared up at me with curiosity in them, while she took her bottom lip between her teeth, gently biting it, giving me an instant hard on.
Inadvertently, I licked my lips, just at the mere thought of having Raven’s sweet taste upon them once again, as saliva began to pool in my mouth, while a hunger inside of me started to takeover.
Straddling her body, I cautiously began to lower myself down to her, not wanting to cause pain to the wounds she had sustained yesterday. Raven’s eyes stared up into mine, glossed over with a desire that I was hoping she was openly having now towards me, but as I leaned down and began to run the tip of my nose along the side of her neck, I felt Raven’s body stiffen beneath my own.
Putting Raven’s needs above my own desires for her, I pulled away from her just enough to stare down into her eyes, and ask her, “Did you change your mind, love?”
Purposely and seductively, I slid my tongue slowly across my bottom lip, as my eyes remained staring deep into hers, watching the effect I was having on her. Raven’s eyes drew heavy, as her desire towards me began to consume her, not allowing her to hide her true feelings and needs towards me.
With the lack of verbal response from her, I once again lowered my head, this time straight to Raven’s pulsating neck, running my tongue slowly up it, savoring her delicate taste, as I made my way to her ear,

sucking her delicate lobe into my mouth. Through my nose, I took in a deep inhale before I slowly exhaled The warm air into her ear, making her petite body shiver beneath me.
Raven’s lips slightly parted, and a moan inadvertently slipped from them, echoing into my room, like sweet music to my ears, telling me that even though she was still partially questioning whether she could accept me and my brothers at once, her desires towards me remain. I could feet her heart now fluttering in her chest, softly against my own, as I remained hovering over top of her, with our bodies just ever so slightly touching.
