Moon Phased: The Triple Claim novel Chapter 194

Chapter 102-1

Raven’s POV

Well, no wonder she hasn’t reached out to us. I’d be a bit preoccupied with myself here too.Jacob says, fanning himself, as we sit in the living room, while he stares off into the dining room at Chance and Cash, still sitting at the breakfast table, chatting among themselves as they both continue to steal glances at

  1. me.

I should have known this would be Jacob’s reaction, especially after realizing that there were three of them, as I too had a similar reaction, except mine was more. I thought I was losing my damn mind. If you would have told me on my first day of school that I would be dating even one of them, I would have told you that you were crazy, as I had my mind made up that I wasn’t going to allow myself to get involved with anyone here. But here I was not involved with just one of them, but two, and if I was being honest with myself, I was starting to have feelings for Chase too, as I felt like he was the one being the most real with

  1. me.

Last night, after I broke down in Chase’s arms, I felt like a sense of peace washed over me, and I had to believe it was from the promise that he had made me. For some reason, I believed him when he said he would do everything in his power to find out who was doing this.

Unlike his brothers, he was a loner, but I was starting to see that he just did things a bit differently than his brothers, and that he was misunderstood by them, although I still wasn’t getting the whole him and Jessica thing. But that was his choice to be with who he wanted to be with, and I wasn’t going to judge him for it any longer, as I had seen a totally different side to him, one that I could see myself being friends with.

As for Chance and Cash, the two of them had become my rock, and without them, I probably would have been sent off to be recommitted after everything that had happened. But thankfully, it was as if a guardian angel had been watching over me all this time, placing them in my life, knowing that I couldn’t survive this

on my own.

I called my parents last night, and they agreed that if you want to move back to California, now that your grandmother is gone, and you will be legally an adult on Saturday, you can stay with us your senior year.Lexi says out of nowhere, taking not only me off guard by her offer, but making Chance and Cash’s heads simultaneously turn to look at me, as Mazie stiffens on the couch beside me.

With all their eyes now on me, I lowered my head, as I closed my eyes, thinking about the offer that was now on the table. Unlike the offer, Mrs. Jacobs had given me. This offer allowed me to return to my old school with my old friends, giving me back my life that had been stolen from me. It was as if my prayers for returning home had finally been answered. But instead of feeling immense joy from her offer, I felt like I was being torn.

On the one hand, I wanted to go back home to my old simple life, where I didn’t have to worry about wild animals trying to kill me, nor did I have to worry about my mother’s past coming back to haunt me. But on the other hand, I knew if I left, then I would be leaving all those that I had grown to love and care about, to deal with what was happening here on their own, and I couldn’t in my heart just leave them, knowing that they could die just like Josie and my grandmother had.

Just when I thought that I had made my mind up, Mrs. Jacobs’s words from the cemetery at that moment came back to haunt me, as she pretty much said that if I left town then the killings would stop. But

hencstly, I didn’t know if I believed a damn word that woman said, as it was clear that she was trying to Tun me out of this town.
