Chapter 122-1
Chapter 122-1
Raven’s POV
+25 Point
My body snuggled into Chance’s arms, as I closed my eyes, realizing that nothing was what I thought it was, and that the world that my mother had grown up in was a far cry from the world I knew. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever even considered that werewolves were real, and even after witnessing it firsthand, I still couldn’t believe it.
With what I had seen with my own two eyes, I knew that I was either going crazy or there was so much to this world that I didn’t know about. Either way, I was somehow connected to all of this,
and it left me wanting answers.
Even though this world of theirs scared the shit out of me, I realized that I couldn’t run from it, because it was a mistake that my mother obviously made, and here I was, along with so many others, now paying the price for it. I had no clue how I was connected to their world, other than I know now that being their mate must mean more to them than me just being their girlfriend.
Bottom line, with everything that had just revealed itself to me, I now undoubtably knew a few things, and the first and most important thing was that I knew that the Ryder brothers would never do anything to hurt me, but instead, they would protect me with their lives.
Honestly, at first, I was pissed that they kept their world from me, but after what I had just partook in, I now sort of understood why they had kept it from me, as I was in a fragile state of mind when I
had arrived here.
I could only imagine one of them trying to explain their world to me just after I had arrived, or even
after my first attack in the girls‘ locker room. I would have thought back then that they were the
ones that needed to take my medication, but now after witnessing everything firsthand myself,
and seeing them shift with my own two eyes, there was no way of not believing them.
“Let me check your head, please.” Chance says with concern in his voice, but truth be told, I had
completely forgotten about hitting my head.
The immense pain that I had felt at first was now completely gone, and to be honest, I couldn’t feel anything. Knowing that I had been badly bleeding back at the school, I lowered my head in front of
Chance, allowing him to get a better look at where I had felt the blood seeping from it. I knew that it needed to be looked at to see how bad it was, because I probably needed stitches, even if the blood did clot, stopping the bleeding.
The tips of Chance’s fingers gently began to part my hair away from the area on the back of my head where I was sure there had to be a massive cut. His gentle touch sent a shiver down my spine, as I closed my eyes, trying to not let what felt like raging teen hormones take over, especially

After everything that I found out today, I couldn’t believe that my body was still reacting to him like the way that it was, making me circle back around wondering if there was a pheromone that they were somehow putting off, to entice me. I know how farfetched that it must sound, but hell, nothing seemed to be so farfetched that it couldn’t be possible, at least not anymore.
“It’s already healed.” Chance says, removing his fingers from my hair, and my eyes pop open, as knew there was no way humanly possible that this could be.
“What do you mean by it’s already healed?” Blurts from my lips, questioning him, as I turned around to look at him, knowing that there was no way in hell that a cut that was bleeding that badly could be healed in such a short period of time.
“I mean it’s already healed, but if you prefer a second opinion, we can have the pack doctor take a look at it.” Chance then says to me, making my eyes furrow together, while I continue to stare at him, as I take in his offer.
