Chapter 131-1

Raven’s flesh felt extremely hot to the touch, and when I held her hands to her sides, her scent intensified ten full. There was only one explanation for all of this, and it would also explain why my wolf was going nuts, but what didn’t make sense was that Raven supposably wasn’t quite of age.

Never had I heard of a she wolf going into heat before her eighteenth birthday, and especially one that hadn’t shifted, but I guess there wasn’t anything normal about Raven. The blood that flowed through her veins was to be more powerful than any other she wolves I had ever encountered before, leaving me to wonder if these general rules didn’t apply to her, just like they don’t for my brothers and me since we were born Alphas.

For a second, I questioned myself, thinking that maybe I had got this all wrong and that just maybe she might have caught something from one of her human friends. But when she left out a scream that sounded more like a plea for help, I knew that she was definitely going into heat.

Staring down at her, I was at a loss of what to do, as I wasn’t supposed to be here in the first place. I hadn’t seen either of my brothers since the attack at the school, and I was here for one reason only, and that was to find this damn necklace that they claim would put an end to the rogues attacking our lands, but most importantly Raven.

Honestly, I had no clue what the hell was so special about this necklace that they wanted, but if that was all it was going to take for them to leave us the hell alone, I was willing to give them it, that was if I could find the damn thing. I thought that this was going to be an easy sweep of Ms. Wilson’s house, but I wasn’t expecting to find Raven here, especially in heat.

Another scream left Raven’s lips at that moment, as her back arched from the couch straight towards me, clearly showing me the immense pain she was in. I was doing everything that I could to prevent my wolf from taking over, as he obviously wanted me to take away our mate’s pain. But as I held her wrists down to her side, I realized quickly that the mere touch of our flesh was becoming too much for me to bear.

Raven’s California friend, once again, emerged from her bedroom, looking all wideeyed at me, as I knew that me restraining Raven like this didn’t look the most suiting to an outsider. I was sure that he thought that I was hurting her, when, in all actuality, I was doing quite the opposite, as I was trying to refrain her from doing something she would regret.

RavenAre you okay?Jacob asks her, as he remains standing in the hallway, too scared to come into the living room to fully see what was happening.

For his sake, it was probably the best decision he could possibly have made right now, because I honestly didn’t know if I could control my wolf’s instincts to eliminate another male from being around her. Even with me knowing that Jacob was the slightest bit interested in Raven in that kind of way, my wolf still perceived him as a threat.

Once again, a scream radiated from Raven, while I continued to hold her petite body to the couch, as I knew that she was beyond able to have a conversation with anyone. I was sure all that she could think about at this moment was finding a release from the buildup of pain inside of her, as the pain had to be becoming too unbearable for her to withstand.

Perspiration now rolled down her face, as her clothes fully dampened, and I knew that I couldn’t just leave her like this, but I also knew that I couldn’t stay here much longer. Honestly, I had no clue what I should do, as I knew that I couldn’t call my brothers for help, as I would be putting them too in the same position I was in with her right now.
