Chapter 134-1
Raven’s POV

My body felt like it was going to combust, as a fire burned deep within my core, begging for some kind of relief and release from the immense pain that had completely taken over me. My hormones were all over the place, as I desired one thing and one thing only, and that was the mere touch from one of the Ryder brothers.
Honestly, I had no clue what the hell was going on with me, but right now I couldn’t care less which one of them had their hands on me, as long as it was releasing my body from some of the pain. But unfortunately, just when I was beginning to feel the slightest bit of relief from Cash’s lips crashing against mine, along with the feeling of his body pressing ever so firmly against my own, his body was gone from on top of mine in the blink of an eye.
The fire that had simmered slightly by his touch, instantly erupted once again into a blaze, making a scream flow freely from my lips, as I closed my eyes and gripped the sheets with my hands, balling my hands into fists. My back arched from the bed, as I tried to bear down the pain, but I had never felt anything quite like this before in my life.
“She’s in heat.” I heard a familiar voice say, and through the pools of tears that laid within my eyes, I did my best to open them to be able to make out the silhouette of Mazie standing in the doorway.
“Shit!” Then came another familiar voice, making my head fall to the side to see Lexi standing right beside me.
Lexi looked down at me with what looked like complete and utter worry in her eyes, before she said to Mazie, “Get them all the hell out of here.”
“But…” Mazie began to say, but Lexi put her hand up to stop her, as she said, “I don’t care that they are your Alphas, she isn’t of age just yet, and I can’t allow them to take her without her consent.”
“Consent?” I thought to myself, as another scream left my lips, while tears poured freely down my cheeks, wondering why the hell Lexi was worried about my consent at a time like this. If it was going to extinguish this fire that was burning me alive from the inside out, then who the hell cares what it actually took to do it.
“Jacob, bring me my bag from the car.” Lexi now yells out to Jacob, before she turns her head back down to look at me, as she says, “I know that the pain is unbearable, but trust me, I will do everything in my power to ease it. There is no doubt that your ancestors are working against you, drawing you to your mates by throwing you in heat prematurely, making you

desire them even more. This heat of yours is making you make irrational decisions based on your need to rid yourself of the fire burning inside of you. As your friend, I will not allow you to make such an irreversible decision like this, while being under the influence. If you choose this life, then it will be because you wanted it, not because of some damn heat drawing you to your mates.”
My eyes blinked away the tears that now coated them, as I stared up at Lexi, wondering exactly whose side she was on, because by the sounds of it, she didn’t care much for the werewolves and their world. In all honesty, this shocked the hell out of me, as I remember her very much loving those damn movies that she had forced me to watch. But now that I look back at it, I wonder if she had done this to prepare me for my future.
In a way, when you think of it, it was like she was showing me what my future held, but when I think back to those movies, none of what we watched on the screen was even remotely close to the reality of their world, or at least the world that they had allowed me to see. When it came to Chance, Cash, and Chase, none of them seemed evil, leaving me to realize that all those movies that she had forced me to watch were nothing but horse shit to their real world.
