Lexi at that moment let out a cough, as if she was choking on her own saliva, and I knew that she must have more talents than she was letting onto, especially when she looks at me, and says, “I am sure that can be arranged.”

“What can be arranged?” Mazie asked with a confused look on her face, and I was quick to blurt out, “Nothing.” As my eyes remained on Lexi, while I thought, “Get the hell out of my

head.”

A smirk forms on Lexi’s face as she steps into my grandmother’s bedroom, as she says to me, “Sorry no can do. This isn’t something that I can just shut off.”

I let out a growl, annoyed thinking back on all the years that she had been spying on me and wondering what secrets of mine that she knew. Not only had she been hired to pretend to be my friend, but she had invaded my most private thoughts.
