Chapter 215

Chapter 216

Raven’s POV

Claim

In two long strides, the distance between us was gone, and four protective arms wrapped around my body simultaneously, pulling me into a deep embrace. Warm tears soaked the top of my head, while my own tears from the joy dampened one of their cotton shirts, as realization hit me that they were really here with me.

“You’re alive.” Shakily whispered into my ear, while soft kisses were being placed on the crook of my neck, right over Cash’s mark. If it wasn’t for the dire situation happening right behind the door, I might have lost myself in the reunion, but I knew this happiness I was feeling seeing them again was going to have to wait.

Honestly, I had no clue how Chance and Cash had found me, but now that they were here, I believed that I had the help that I needed to save Chase and Liam, with or without Lexi’s assistance. But I knew if I could now get her on board, it would make things so much easier,

especially since I knew now what she was capable of.

Pulling from their embrace, I looked down the hallway towards Lexi, getting ready to ask her once again for her help, but my eyes landed instead on Jacob standing right beside her. It was at that moment that I realized where Lexi had sent Jacob off to this morning.

“Thank you.” Silently mouthed from my lips, as my heart was full of love and gratitude to him, once again knowing that he had my back when I needed him the most. But as my eyes moved from him to Lexi, I realized that she was behind all of this, and I had to wonder if she

had foreseen this all coming.

Before I could even say a word to her, Lexi stepped forward and said, “You only need one more mate to mark you to break the curse. Once the curse is broken, you shall hold the

power you seek.”

My head turned to look over my shoulder at Chance, the first of the brothers that I had truly fallen for, but the last of them to claim me as their mate. This was definitely not how I had envisioned our moment in time would be, but desperate situations called for desperate

measures.

Stepping forward, Chance’s hands moved to cup my chin, as he raised it to gaze into my eyes, before he made a promise to me, by saying, “I will make this up to you.”

I swallowed hard, seeing the desire in his eyes towards me, knowing that when this was all said and done, he was going to release it onto me in ten folds.

Running the tip of his thumb now over my lips, he continued to gaze deep into my eyes as he

waited for me to accept his offer. Unable to speak, because the cat literally now had my tongue, I finally nodded my head to him, as I tried to keep my unholy thoughts to myself, because I knew that right now wasn’t the time or the place to think like this.

A subtle smirk formed on Chance’s face, as if he could see my thoughts, before his hands moved from my chin down to my neck. Just the mere touch of the tips of his fingers on my exposed flesh was sending waves of electricity throughout my body, sparking to life every sensitive nerve ending.

If that wasn’t enough torture, hands now from behind me pulled me back flush against their owner’s chest, and I found myself melting away in Cash’s embrace, while Chance’s lips moved to the crook of my neck. Gently, Chance began to prep the spot where his mark would lay, while Cash held me steadily in his arms.

Never before this moment did I have two brothers touching me at the same time, and if I was being honest with myself, I sort of was into it, but never did I imagine that the two of them would be willing to be with me at once. Chance had said even before we were together what happened between his brothers and me was none of his business, but right now, Cash and he were laying it right out onto the table in front of each other.

Unfortunately, though, it didn’t take me long to realize why Cash had himself involved, because as Chance’s canines broke through my flesh, I instantly lost feeling in my legs. If it wasn’t for Cash holding me upright, I would be lying on the floor, but that wasn’t the worst of it. Severe pain followed suit, shooting straight from my broken flesh to the tips of my fingers, forcing my hands to ball into fists, as I did my best to hold back my screams.

The last thing I wanted was for Chance to know how painful this experience was for me,

because I knew that if we had had our moment like his brothers and I had, this would have

been a totally different experience. But unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and right now, I need to grunt and bear down the pain, knowing that it wouldn’t last forever.

Feeling Chance’s canines release from within my flesh, I would have thought that the pain would subside, but as he began to seal his mark with the tip of his tongue, just like both his brothers had done, the pain remains and grows even stronger. As if Chance could sense my pain, he took a step back from me, with his eyes now filled with worry and dread, that it now had me worrying that something had gone wrong.

With that thought, I felt every single inch of my flesh begin to tingle, like a rush of what I could only explain as fire rapidly coursed through my veins with vengeance. Cash’s arms at that moment loosened around me, and as he lowered my body gently to the floor, he whispered into my ear, “Don’t fight it.”

His lips lingered there for a second, as I felt the tip of his nose grazing over my heated earlobe, before his lips made their way to my forehead, leaving the softest of a kiss upon it.

With reluctance, Chase moved to stand, giving me over to his brother, who was now taking a knee in front of me.

Leaning forward, Chance also placed a kiss over the top of his brother’s, but instead of stepping away from me like Cash had done, he remained kneeling by my side, as he says to me, “The first shift is always the worse, but I promise you that the pain will subside once you are in your wolf’s form.”

Through my now tear-filled eyes, I stared at him, realizing what the hell was happening to me, as my bones now began to crack painfully one by one. My screams now could probably be heard from a mile away, as they were echoing down the hallway to the master staircase, and throughout the entirety of the estate, I was sure of it.

But my screams were now not the only sounds that filled the hallway, as the sound of pounding fists against the other side of the door followed. I had no clue what the hell was happening behind that closed door, but I knew that the only way Lexi was going to open it was if I finally shifted into my wolf, breaking one of my family’s curses.
