After a doctor examined Maggie, it turned out she only had a mild sprain in her ankle
The injury was fairly minor. She could walk almost normally once she changed into flat–heeled shoes
After putting on a fresh dress and fixing up her makeup, she headed back downstairs with Johnny
Dr. Mercer walked over to greet her the second she stepped down.
He finally breathed easy once he confirmed she was alright. “Thank goodness you are fine.”
Maggie and Johnny responded with warm smiles and gentle nods.
Members of Julia’s family together with Daphne learned about the incident later on.
Seeing Dr. Mercer fuss over Maggie even when she barely got hurt, Sophia rolled her eyes with obvious disapproval
“She hardly got hurt at all. Everyone’s making way too big a deal out of nothing.”
Janice and Logan stayed quiet without commenting.
Julia continued watching Maggie from a distance. She glanced toward Franklin again and noticed he only threw one quick glance when Maggie’s arrival downstairs drew people’s attention. He lost interest straight after that.
Harry, Glen, and Jimmy all relaxed knowing Maggie was safe and sound.
Glen headed over toward Maggie without hesitation, while Harry stayed put. He realized he didn’t have a proper reason to go over and check on her again.
In the meantime, Jimmy wrapped up his conversation and prepared to go say hello to Maggie.
Right then, Yves tapped his shoulder to stop him. “Where do you think you’re going?”
