“He’s into Cynthia. No doubt about it. He went crazy for her back then. Curtis would never fall for someone like Adriana.”
Danielle just couldn’t accept the idea that Curtis loved Adriana.
Adriana was an orphan. Why would Curtis love her?
Matthew didn’t look pleased. He lowered his voice. “Then find a way to bring Cynthia back as soon as you
can.”
If Nicole wasn’t working out, they could always get Cynthia back.
First love still mattered.
“Mr. Langford, why are you so set on splitting up Adriana and Curtis? What are you planning? Don’t tell me you’re thinking about canceling Natasha’s engagement?” Danielle asked warily.
“That’s my business. Don’t worry about it.”
Matthew ended the call right away.
High–End Custom Jewelry Studio.
Natasha wanted to choose her wedding ring ahead of time, so she stopped by the most famous designer boutique in Haldoria while shopping with friends.
The designer was a big name with tons of awards.
No matter who she was, he never made house calls. If she wanted a custom piece, she had to come in
person.
“Hello, miss. What kind of ring are you looking for?” The saleswoman greeted her warmly.
“An engagement ring,” Natasha replied coolly.
The saleswoman paused for a second. A woman coming in to order her engagement ring?
She didn’t say much and led Natasha to the displays. “Browse and tell me if anything catches your eye. If not, we can have the designer make something just for you.”
Natasha didn’t bother looking at the samples. “I want a custom piece. One–of–a–kind.”
The saleswoman smiled. “Of course. Please leave your partner’s info so we can note it.”
“He’s Matthew Langford,” Natasha said casually.
Her friends looked at her with envy. “This place isn’t cheap. But it’s nothing for Matthew.”
“Miss… “The saleswoman looked confused. “Your partner already ordered something here. Maybe he

wanted it to be a surprise. Please be patient and wait a bit.”
Natasha froze, cheeks flushing.
So Matthew had secretly ordered something already, despite saying he was too busy?
“Natasha, Matthew really loves you,” her friends whispered with envy.
Natasha couldn’t help smiling proudly. “He’s always one step ahead.”

“Can we just sneak a peek at what’he picked? Just a little look?“, one friend nudged Natasha, egging her on.
The saleswoman shook her head, but Natasha managed to contact the store manager.
At last, the saleswoman quietly let Natasha see the pieces. Matthew had ordered a full diamond plain band and a thin diamond bracelet–together worth 13 million.
That price didn’t exactly blow Natasha away. She thought it was a little modest.
Still, she was happy Matthew had bothered to order something ahead of time.
“Natasha, Matthew really dotes on you,” her friends cooed, staring at her.
Natasha smiled proudly. She’d wait and see when Matthew would propose to her.
Harborton, the Barton Estate.
Danielle barreled back into the Bartons and saw Jeremy tearing into Chandler.
“I know you’re ambitious, but everything the Bartons own belongs to Nicole. Don’t even think about it!” Jeremy snapped at Chandler.
“Dad, I’m your son too! I worked my tail off for the Bartons for years Now I’m in trouble–you can’t just abandon me!” Chandler pleaded.
“Curtis is insane. The way he’s attacking us is a huge disrespect to you,” he added desperately.
