Chapter 146 Can I Take a Selfic?
Maybe at one time, Cynthia really did love Curtis with all her heart. She had given so much for him, never expecting anything in return. At one point, she truly believed that as long as Curtis was happy, that was enough.
Batt somewhere along the way, she started to feel resentful. She begun to believe she had given too much for Curtis. She told herself no other woman could ever love him as much as she did, and that everyone else who got close to him had some kind of ulterior motive–everyone except her.
She didn’t know when it started, but she had changed. She’d become obsessed.
“Shut up!” Cynthia lost control and slapped Belinda, her mind going blank.
Her breathing quickened as she looked at Belinda’s red, teary eyes. She felt regret, but there was nothing she could do.
She realized she had become someone even she didn’t recognize anymore.
“Belinda, if you and Curtis leave me, I’ll die.” Cynthia’s voice was hoarse as she repeated it over and over. drilling it into Belinda’s head.
“Help me. We can’t let Adriana have that baby. Cynthia gripped Belinda’s hand tightly
She wanted Belinda to be the one to ruin it.
That way, Harold would definitely force Curtis to divorce Adriana.
Belinda bowed her head and cried, feeling completely suffocated
It was her mother’s life on the line, and Adriana’s as well.
“Please?” Cynthia kept pressing her.
Belinda nodded through her tears. “Okay…
What else could she do? Her mom would die if she said no.
The coastline at Haldoria was stunning. The sea was a bright, baby–blue hue–crystal clear, fresh, and
vibrant.
Adriana stared at the endless stretch of water in awe. “There are usually a lot of people at the beach. I saw on Facebook that it’s hard to even find a spot for pictures.”
This is a private beach. The whole thing’s yours. You can take as many photos as you want,” Curtis smiled at Adriana.
His camera gear looked seriously high–end. She could tell it cost a fortune.
“Can I use my phone to take a selfie for Instagram?” Adriana asked cautiously.

Matthew had just come back from a meeting, luming over his good–for–nothing half–brother. As he sat down, he saw Adriana’s new Instagram post.
She almost never posted, but there it was–a photo of her and Curtis together.
They were at the beach. Adriana was wearing a gorgeous dress, smiling brighter than ever.
In the four years he’d been with Adriana, he’d never seen her smile that happily.
His body stiffened, and suddenly he felt tired.
Back when Adriana was with him, he’d go to her whenever he felt exhausted. Just seeing her seemed to make all the tiredness go away.
But now, the sweet woman he’d kept to himself for four years was gone.
Maybe Adriana had never really belonged to him.
Maybe the only reason she agreed to be with him was because she so desperately wanted a family.
Emotions got the best of him. Matthew slammed his phone down and stormed out of his office.
But after a few steps, he stopped. Where could he go? To find Adriana? She is Curtis’s wife now… As long as Curtis refused to let her go, Adriana would never come back to him.
Matthew paused, then returned to his seat.
What he needed to do now was make sure Curtis divorced Adriana

as possible.
Peter came in. Matthew looked up at him. “Did you finish what I asked you to look into?”
