Chapter 203 My Flower
Amelia smiled, a sheepish grin on her face, Tadded some tomato sauce to make it look ricer
Without another word, Benjamin picked up his fork and took a bite of the braised chicken she’d made
Honestly, the potatoes in the dish were probably the best part.
The zucchini dish, meanwhile, mostly just tasted like tomato sauce–he couldn’t taste other flavors.
Amelia leaned forward a little, eyes bright. “Benjamin, how does it taste? Is it okay?
She’d sampled it while cooking, but when it came to her own food, she could never tell if it was actually good–she was too biased.
Benjamin met her bright, eager gaze. He hesitated for a split second, then said, “It’s not bad.”
With that, he took several more bites–clearly trying to be encouraging
Watching him keep eating, Amelia let out a quiet sigh of relief.
She smiled. “Then I’ll make dinner for you again sometime. Maybe I’ll try stewing some meat for you.”
Benjamin’s encouragement spurred her on–she was determined to work on her cooking skills.
“You don’t have to,” Benjamin said softly. “Cooking’s a lot of trouble. Just make sure you eat well.”
His thoughtfulness made Amelia’s chest feel warm.
Truly, the man I care about is the best in the world.
Amelia was still savoring the moment when Nina, sitting on William’s lap, noticed Benjamin kept eating the food Amelia had made. Her big round eyes narrowed in confusion. “Daddy… yummy?”
Benjamin nodded with a straight face. “Yummy,” he replied,
He said it was yummy, but he didn’t offer her a bite–he just kept eating.
The more he ate, the more Nina’s eyes widened–she wanted some too. “Daddy, Nina eat!”
Nina stretched out her chubby hand and tugged the plate toward her.
“Mommy made it! Nina eat!”
Nina hated seeing anyone else have something she didn’t have–she was always grabbing things.
Once she had the plate pulled in front of her, her little face lit up.
“Grandpa, feed me.”
Nina got the plate and opened her mouth wide for William to feed her.
William smiled, speared a piece of the chicken, and gently popped it into Nina’s mouth.

Chapter 203 My Flower
Immediately, Nina’s face twisted, and she spat it all out.
William quickly held the plate in one hand and caught the spit–out food in the other.
“Sweetie, what’s wrong?” William asked, frowning in confusion. “Are you choking?”
Nina’s face was still twisted as she pushed the plate back toward Benjamin with her chubby hand.
“Daddy cat. Nina no eat.”
Amelia’s smile faded. “Is Mommy’s cooking not good, Nina?”
Nina nodded hard. She declared, “No yummy!
Amelia glanced at Nina, then at Benjamin–who’d caten quite a bit–and suddenly realized what was going
OIL
“Benjamin, you don’t have to force yourself,” she said, reaching for his fork. “It’s not good.”
But Benjamin insisted on finishing every bite.
Benjamin usually ate very little at night, but this time, for Amelia’s benefit, he forced himself to eat it all.
After dinner, feeling overly full, Benjamin went up to the gym on the third floor to work it off.
While Benjamin was at the gym, Amelia held Nina’s hand and took her for a stroll in the front yard.
They’d barely stepped into the yard when they saw Nathan approaching.
Nathan was holding a bouquet, and he spotted them immediately.
He waved happily and called out, “Amelia!”
He’d nearly called her “Mia,” but he remembered Freya’s warning about not pressuring her.
So he caught himself and just called her by her name.
