Chapter 218 Read Picture Book
Amelia furrowed her brows when daycare was brought up.
“Benjamin signed Nina up for a really expensive early childhood education center before. She only went for
a couple of days and stopped. Lucky for us, they gave us a full refund.
“I do want her to go, but she’s had so many incidents lately.
“I read online that kids in those classes get sick easily. So I held off for now.”
Amelia shared her worries. Lily chimed in, “Kids do get sick a lot in daycare–or the first year of kindergarten.
“If one kid gets sick, the whole class catches it. It’s unavoidable.
“But they have to go through that to build up their immune systems.
“Amelia, don’t stress too much. That’s how they get stronger.
“Barry’s older now–he’s much better. When he started school, he was uncomfortable every few days.”
Barry was older than Nina,
Amelia listened seriously to her experience.
After hearing it, Amelia nodded. She decided Nina should go to daycare after all.
She said to Benjamin, “Benjamin, let’s sign Nina up for daycare again.
“I’m starting work soon, and you have to go back to the office.
“If William watches Nina, it’ll be really hard on him.”
With Nina in daycare, she’d have her own things. The adults could relax a bit.
Benjamin always went along with Amelia’s ideas–he never said no.
He agreed and kept feeding Nina
Dinner finished. Nina went to play with Barry again.
Amelia and Benjamin tidied the room.
Amelia put away the things Benjamin brought.
She organized hers and Nina’s, then looked at Benjamin’s.
“Benjamin, are you staying in a guest room?”
Amelia hesitated a little.
She worried Jane might stir at night. If she went to check, no one would watch Nina in bed.

Seeing her hesitation. Benjamin spoke first, “Amelia, I think it’d be easier if we stayed together tonight. Do you mind if I stay?”
Benjamin offered. Amelia’s eyes lit up instantly. “No mind!”
Before, when Nina was sick, Benjamin had stayed in her room to help care for her.
On watching Nina together. Amelia wouldn’t be shy about it..
In the past, she’d still feel embarrassed.
But now, Amelia was falling for Benjamin. She liked him. She wanted more alone time with him.
Once Nina slept, even with Nina between them, it’d be their little world.
Amelia’s sparkling eyes made Benjamin’s gaze darken a bit.
Just as the air seemed to turn romantic, Nina burst through the door with a thud.
She’d been chasing Barry.
She ran in, smacked into Amelia’s leg, and rubbed her chubby face on it.
After rubbing Amelia, she toddled off again.
Benjamin asked, “What’s she doing?”
in over
Amelia smiled. “She just loves sticking to me. When I’m around, no matter what she’s doing, she’ll run for a hug or rub every so often.
Amelia felt so happy with Nina’s random rushes for hugs and rubs!
Nina was where her happiness truly came from.
Giving birth to Nina was so painful, and raising her? Even tougher. But having her around? That gave Amelia a deep, steady kind of happiness.
Nina played with Barry for over two hours. She ran back to the room, grabbed her little kettle, and drank several big gulps.
