Chapter 235 Big Plane
They booked the earliest flight available. It would take off very soon.
Nina clung tightly to Daniel.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked around excitedly. “Wow! Big plane!”
Nina spotted a huge airplane. Her eyes sparkled. “Un–cop Dan’el buy!”
Nina pointed at the massive plane and told Daniel to buy it for her.
Daniel laughed, “I can’t afford that.”
His allowance was nowhere near enough to buy a planc
Nina saw that Daniel had no money. She wasn’t happy.

She furrowed her little brows and thought for a few seconds. Then she reached into Daniel’s pocket. “Un- coo Dan’el, phone buy!”
Nina was clever. She often went shopping with the adults. She saw them pay with phones. So she wanted Daniel to take out his phone to buy it.
Daniel felt both amused and helpless at her little schemes.
“Nina, there’s no money in my phone either.
“Be good. We have a big plane at home. I’ll take you to see it later.”
Daniel coaxed Nina a bit more and carried her onto the plane.
They flew first class.
This was Nina’s first time on an airplane. Everything fel new and exciting to her.
“Un–coo Dan’el, I sit big plane.”
Daniel replied, “Yes, you sit in a big plane. Do you like flying?”
Nina shouted loudly, “Yeah!”
After her loud answer, Amelia settled her in the seat and turned on the TV for her.
Amelia was really worried Nina might fuss.
This flight lasted a long time–five hours.
After those five hours, they had to transfer immediately. Then take a car.
The whole trip would be exhausting. Amelia looked at Nana, still full of energy now, and truly worried whether her little girl could handle it.
“Mommy, go Daddy?”
Nina sat obediently. Her eyes watched the TV. But her mouth asked for the fifth time if they were going to

Amelia nodded. “Yes. We’re going to find Daddy.”

Hearing it was to find Benjamin, Nina nodded her little head. She felt reassured and kept watching TV.
Amelia held her and watched together.
They watched TV and ate snacks to pass the time.
Nina couldn’t sit still and tried to get out of her seat several times, but Amelia coaxed her back each time.
The five–plus–hour flight left Nina a bit wilted.
When the plane descended, Nina covered her little ears
“Mommy, my ear hurt.”
Nina held her ears and glanced around, but she didn’t see anyone hit her ears.
She frowned her little brows and concluded. “Black Face Monster hit
my ears.”
Black Face Monster was what Nina feared most.
She must have seen it in some cartoon. Anyway, she often talked about Black Face Monster.
She was scared of Black Face Monster.
Sometimes, when Amelia coaxed her to sleep and didn’t want to sing, she used Black Face Monster to threaten her.
Amelia would say, “Nina, if you don’t go to sleep nicely, Black Face Monster will come find you.”
The trick worked sometimes. Other times, not.
Anyway, Black Face Monster was the big villain in Nina’s world.
She covered her ears. At first, she could blame Black Face Monster.
But as she held them, she started crying, “Mommy, ear urt.”
Amelia covered her ears too. But ear pressure during descent couldn’t be avoided.
Amelia could only coax Nina to hang on a little longer.
Daniel brought snacks to distract her, too.
Once the plane landed and stopped, Amelia quickly cared Nina off.
After getting out, Nina felt a bit better.
“Mommy, no big plane. Big plane have Black Face Monster.”
