Whenever William shared something, Forrest would get calls from his parents pressuring him to get married and have kids.
Forrest was at his wits’ end from the nagging.
He had resigned himself to going on blind dates now.
Back at the Graham Residence, right after Nina finished her chat through the glass with Nelson and said goodbye, Lucien and Barry showed up, too.
These two boys also couldn’t hug Nina.
Seeing her brothers but not being able to hug them left Nina utterly heartbroken. “Mommy, no hug.”
In her sadness, Nina stopped being mad at Benjamin and Amelia.
She hugged Amelia’s leg, complaining that the boys wouldn’t hug her.
Amelia, desperate for her to get better, wouldn’t even let her go outside now, afraid she might catch a chill.
The weather was turning cooler, with cold snaps hitting every now and then.
Amelia had changed Nina’s little dresses for long-sleeved outfits and even put pants on her chubby legs.
Luckily, Nina was so adorable that even this outfit still looked cute and stylish on her.
“They will hug you when you’re all better.” Amelia felt Nina’s little hands-they were warm, not cold.
After checking her hands, Amelia picked her up to go play with toys.
But even toys couldn’t cheer Nina up.
Nina didn’t like indoor activities, but she loved going outside.
Seeing her unhappiness, Amelia still didn’t take her out.
She said, “Nina, be good. In a few days, we can go to your grandma’s house.
“We can play with your brothers there and eat yummy food.”
The banquet the Wilson family had planned for Amelia had been postponed for a few days.
Amelia was busy taking care of Nina and couldn’t spare time for anything else.
Her filming schedule had also been delayed for a few days after discussions with the set.
For Nina’s sake, she really had no choice.
As time passed, Nina grew more and more restless being stuck at home.
Even at night, she kept muttering about going out.

To keep her indoors, Amelia and Benjamin both played with her on the bed.
Nina took out some stickers. She made Benjamin and Amelia lie down and started putting stickers on them. “Mommy, no move.”
Nina wasn’t putting stickers on their cheeks; she went straight for their eyes and mouths.
Soon, Amelia and Benjamin’s faces were covered beyond recognition.
Nina was having a blast, but she wouldn’t let them peel the stickers off.
The two adults endured it until Nina finally got bored, and they were freed.

He said, “Nina, I will build you a playground outside right now. A private playground, just for you. How about that?”
Amelia shot down William’s idea immediately.
She knew Nina too well.
“It would be a waste,” she said. “If it’s private, she won’t want to play on it by herself. She loves the crowd.”
The playgrounds and little parks outside were full of people, and Nina thrived in those bustling places.
After responding to William, Amelia firmly carried Nina to the backyard.
The backyard had it all: a slide, a climbing net, a rocking horse, and a ball pit.
Amelia placed Nina in the ball pit, insisting she play there.
Nina said, “Mommy, go out play.”
“No.” Amelia was resolute.
Until Nina showed clear improvement, taking her out was not an option.
