Chapter 314 Keep Her Given Name
The boys could also see that Nina had gotten thinner.
But it was just strange. Even though Nina had lost a little weight, she was still pretty heavy.
They still couldn’t hold her for very long.
With the three boys by her side, Nina enjoyed several more days of play.
She didn’t even go to daycare.

By the time her runny nose finally stopped, the banquet the Wilson family had prepared for Amelia was ready to begin.
The night before the event, Amelia tried on the formal gown Benjamin had bought for her.
She loved blue.
So, Benjamin had chosen a blue gown for her.
In the off-the-shoulder sapphire blue fishtail dress, Amelia looked as beautiful as a little mermaid emerging from the deep sea.
Nina, in a matching mini fishtail dress, looked more like a chubby little guppy.
The little guppy, unaware of the contrast, happily admired herself in the mirror, even cupping her cheeks. “Mommy, I am so pretty.”
Amelia looked at her, then couldn’t help but lean toward Benjamin. “Should we change her dress? I feel like this one makes her look a little… chubby.”
Nina did lose a couple of pounds when she was sick.
But with everyone at home feeding her, plus the Wilson family and her friends sneaking her treats, she’d gained every bit of it back—if anything, she was even chubbier now.
Amelia had leaned in very close to Benjamin.
Kissing her had become second nature to him.
Seeing her so near, he instinctively bent down and kissed her.
Nina, still in the room, spotted it immediately.
“No!” The little girl, who had just been admiring herself stopped and pushed Benjamin away, looking upset. “My mommy!”
Nina wouldn’t allow Benjamin to kiss Amelia.
Pushed by Nina, Benjamin raised an eyebrow at her profectiveness. The next second, he crouched down and kissed her chubby little cheek instead.
Nina wiped her cheek, now on high alert. “No kiss!”
Benjamin kissed her again.

Peeking through her fingers, she shooed him away. “Dadly go ‘way.”

The family of three played around in the room for a while before finally changing into pajamas for bed.
Before lights out, Amelia gave Nina a special reminder.
“Nina, tomorrow at Grandma’s house, there will be lots and lots of people. You have to be very good, okay? You need to be a good girl.”
“Okay.” Nina was always the fastest to agree to anything.

She just furrowed her brows, gave an unhappy little kick and then snuggled against the wall to sleep.
With Nina settled, Benjamin reached out and pulled Amelia into his arms. “Amelia.”
Holding her close, he rested his forehead against hers and suddenly whispered softly, “Amelia Wilson.”
After talking it over, the Wilson family only asked Amelia to change her last name.
She wanted to keep her given name.
Her adoptive parents hadn’t given it to her-it had come from a kind woman named Ava Martinez.
Ava had no children of her own and was in poor health.
But she had been very kind to Amelia.
In Amelia’s childhood memories, Ava was the person who had treated her the very best.
So, she wanted to keep the name Ava had given her.
Jane wasn’t hung up on the name.
What she wanted was her daughter back, not a specific name.
