Once she was about halfway through the meal, Nina usually stopped feeling hungry and started playing
instead.
Right now, she was chatting with Nelson on purpose-she just wanted to play with him.
“Nina, be good. Let’s finish eating first,” Daniel coaxed.
“It’s already dark outside. After dinner, we still have to go home and find your mommy.
“Don’t you want to see your mommy?”
Daniel used her mom as leverage. Nina verbally agreed to go find her mom, but the very next second, she yanked off the bib around her neck and tossed it onto the floor.
She didn’t want to wear it anymore.
Daniel glanced at the bib on the floor but didn’t pick it up.
The priority right now was still feeding her.
They could deal with the mess later. If her clothes got dirty, so be it. He had spare outfits in his bag anyway.
He had brought several sets when he left home.
Daniel struggled through feeding her while Trevor watched coldly from the side, completely uninvolved.
Just as Daniel was still anxiously staring at the unfinished food, Nina, who had been eating with zero focus. had already started calling out to Trevor.
She talked to Trevor, “Hold me?”
While Nina was dawdling, Trevor had not only finished feeding Nelson but had also finished his own meal.
Now that he was full, he was ready to leave.
Nina’s eyes followed him, and her chubby little body started climbing out of the high chair.
She wanted out.
“Nina, sit back down,” Daniel said sternly.
He knew Nina’s appetite,
She could eat a lot. What she had eaten so far was nowhere near enough.
He needed to get this whole portion into her.
Daniel was still trying to feed her, but Nina, afraid that revor would leave, scrambled even harder, practically panicking.
“Wait. No go.”
Seeing Nina so desperate to follow Trevor, Daniel took deep breath and turned to Trevor again.

“Nelson still needs someone to take care of him. Sit for bit longer. Later, help him take a bath and change his clothes.”
Daniel’s arrangement made Trevor frown, and he refused coldly. “The nanny does those things.”
He was leaving now.
“So you, his father, don’t take care of him and just push everything onto the nanny?” Daniel shot back.
Daniel then lied straight-faced, “The doctor said Nelson’s condition will recover faster if his father takes care of him.
