Adriana waved at Danielle. “Take care…

Her forehead throbbed painfully, and her face was pale, but her eyes sparkled as she looked at the store. manager. “Since Ms. Barton already paid, wrap up all these jewelry pieces and bags for us.”
The manager hesitated, then quickly nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”
Belinda stood nearby, stunned, and gave Adriana a thumbs–up.
Going shopping with someone else footing the bill…
The blood on Adriana’s forehead was almost dry, and she was buzzing with excitement as she and Belinda examined all the luxury items Danielle had purchased.
“This one’s really expensive. All my classmates love it. That awful girl who stole my boyfriend had one and showed it off every day.”
Adriana handed the bracelet to Belinda. “This one’s yours.”
The two were dividing the loot.

Belinda shook her head in disdain. “I don’t want the one that awful girl had. I don’t want to clash with her.”
“Then take this one–it’s even more expensive.” Adriana handed Belinda a pricier bracelet.
Belinda’s eyes sparkled. Her admiration for Adriana had grown from initial dislike to full respect.
“You’re amazing. I wish I had even half your courage. Doesn’t your head hurt? Are you really not going to the hospital?” Belinda asked with genuine concern.
By the time Curtis arrived in a rush, Danielle had already taken Nicole and left.
“Adriana!” Curtis grabbed her shoulders, panic in his eyes as he checked her forehead. “What happened? Let’s go to the hospital.”
Adriana smiled brightly at him. “I’m fine. These are all ours now–over six million dollars. Danielle paid for everything.”
Curtis’s face darkened further. “Danielle caused you trouble?”
Adriana hesitated, unsure if she should explain, since it involved Harold.
“Danielle … called me to get Adriana out shopping. Curtis, I’m sorry… I didn’t know she’d bring people to block us and try to drag Adriana to the hospital to check if she’s pregnant. She said Harold told her to do it,” Belinda quickly explained as Adriana stayed silent.
Curtis frowned at Belinda. “We’re going to talk about this later.”
He scooped Adriana up, ready to take her to the hospital.
A few steps in, he turned back and warned Belinda. “Don’t ever do something so stupid again.”

Belinda lowered her head, looking hurt but obedient.
Adriana whispered to Curtis. “Curtis, Harold might have realized I’m not pregnant.”
Curtis looked at her. “I’ll handle this.”
Adriana nodded.

For some reason, whenever Curtis appeared, she felt a calm certainty in her heart–because when Curtis said he’d handle something, he really would.
Curtis took Adriana to the hospital. The wound wasn’t too serious, so they just cleaned and disinfected it, then covered it with a bandage.
Curtis stayed silently by her side, his expression dark and brooding. Anyone who knew him could tell he was furious.
Adriana kept quiet, following closely behind him.
That night, Belinda didn’t dare stay over. She picked a few favorite gifts and scurried off.
Curtis spent the evening on calls. Adriana didn’t want to disturb him. She showered, then listed each of Danielle’s purchased gifts on eBay for sale, stating they were brand new items at a 10% discount. By the end of the night, half were sold.
She earned over a million dollars.
Excited, Adriana bounced on the bed with her phone, just as Curtis opened the door.
Seeing her in high spirits, his own gloom lifted slightly, and he smiled. “What’s got you so happy?”
Adriana quickly covered her face with her hands, whispering. “Look, I sold a bunch of those luxury items Danielle paid for on eBay and made over a million.”
Curtis shook his head, realizing Adriana was a total money lover.
“I forgot to tell you, your 30 million has been put into a proper investment fund by Kenneth. Starting next month, you’ll receive the dividends at the beginning of each month, and the principal will be transferred to your account at the end of the year,” Curtis said calmly.
Adriana stared at him, overwhelmed. Does this mean I’m officially rich now?
Even if Curtis divorces me, the 30 million will cover my studies and future life comfortably.
