Now, the wolves in the stands were furious.

Some even hurled eggs at me. The sticky mess burst across my forehead, oozing with foul

stench.

To maintain order, Finn had to send warriors out to calm the crowd.

The moment the silver needle pierced my temple, it felt like a thousand pins stabbed into my

skin and scalp.

My pupils dilated, and I let out fragmented, strangled sounds.

The pain was excruciating, shredding what little strength I had left.

Finn stood nearby, sneering coldly as he watched me struggle. There was not a trace of

sympathy in his eyes.

Worried I might pass out before the memory extraction finished, the witch prepared to inject

a sedative.

But Finn snatched the syringe from her hands and replaced it with a stimulant.

“This could push her body past its limit,” the witch warned. “After this trial, she might-”

“Just use it,” Finn cut her off without hesitation.

Once the stimulant was injected, the pain became more bearable.

But memories began flooding my mind, accompanied by the crowd’s cursing and screaming.

The giant screen in the center of the arena started displaying my memories.
