Dragging her aching body out of bed, Olivia stepped into the hallway, only to pause as the passed by another patient

room.

Inside, she heard a sweet, familiar voice.

On the other end of the call, her parents hesitated only for a moment before answering with cold indifference.

Olivia froze outside the door, her heart clenched in a grip so tight it was hard to breathe.

These were the same parents who once adored her, who used to cradle her when she cried and celebrate every little win.

Now, they didn’t even care if she was alive or dead.

She turned to leave, but just then, the door flew open.

A heavy thud echoed from the ground below.

She rushed to the window, trembling, heart pounding.

Below, Ethan and Sebastian were sprinting across the lawn toward Vivian’s bloodied body.

Ethan scooped the bloodied Vivian into his arms, his voice shaking.
