Tears filled Ivy’s eyes, completely unaware she just let something slip.

Lucas frowned, lifting his dark gaze. “How do you know about that?”

How did this child know anything about what happened five years ago?

She’s your wife, yet you’ve done so much for another woman. Have you ever considered her feelings?”

Lucas’s gaze darkened, a dull ache passing through his chest.

But anger still burned inside him, and he didn want to hear any of it. His voice turned cold. “I didn’t come here to be lectured.”

After saying that, he turned and walked out.

“Megan, where’s Mommy? What happened to her?”

Lucas couldn’t find Katherine, no matter how hard he tried. Something had to be wrong

“Don’t panic. I will call and check.”

Megan pulled out her phone and called Katherine.

Katherine had called her last night to ask if anything unusual had happened at the hospital. After Megan assured her everything was fine, Katherine hung up.

Megan hadn’t even gotten the chance to ask if something was wrong.

Now Katherine’s phone was turned off.
