My Billionaire Ex Wants Me Back (Katherine) novel Chapter 131

Chapter 131 She’s Dead

When Ivy saw Rachel walk in, her eyes went wide. She shrank back in fear.

She knew how cruel Rachel could be.

Fear and anger twisted together inside her. Her mall, chubby hands curled into fists.

Rachel noticed the look in Ivy’s eyes and squinted.

At first glance, Ivy looked a lot like Katherine.

That same stubborn and proud look in her bones annoyed Rachel.

Rachel raised an eyebrow. “Relax. I’m not here to hurt you. I just came to tell you something.”

Ivy didn’t listen. She raised her hand and slammed the emergency button beside her bed. The doctors and nurses would come soon.

Rachel didn’t panic. “I came to let you know your mom is dead.”

“You’re lying.”

Ivy would never trust a bad woman like her.

“I have no reason to lie. Katherine is dead. I just got the news. You should know what happened tonight. Believe it or don’t-that’s your choice.

“But I’ll be kind and give you a hint. If you go to the morgue now, you might still see her one

last time.

“I don’t believe you! You’re lying!” Ivy yelled. A doctor rushed in. Seeing how emotional Ivy was, he told Rachel to leave right away.

Rachel sneered, then spoke in a fake gentle voice, “Ivy, don’t be too sad. Without your mom, you’ll live with your dad now. I might even become your stepmother. I’ll take good care of you.”

She stressed those last words, clearly threatening her.

Ivy’s eyes turned red. The moment Rachel left, Ivy called Katherine.

The first call failed.

The second call failed.

Panic started to rise in Ivy’s chest. Tears rolled down her cheeks. Even so, she kept telling herself Rachel was lying. Her mother wouldn’t die.

When Lucas arrived at the airport, Marsh’s men blocked him at the entrance. He looked coldly at the armed bodyguards in front of him and said flatly, “Move.”

No one stepped aside.

Lucas didn’t say another word. He walked forward and started fighting.

His skills were equal to Marsh’s. It would take some time to deal with those men, but it wasn’t hard for him.

In just a few minutes, everyone in his way was on the ground.

Lucas had taken some hits, but he acted like he didn’t feel them. He kept walking toward the airport.

He gave off such a violent aura that he looked like a demon from hell. No one dared to provoke him.

Near the private jet, Marsh got a phone call. After hearing the report, he raised a brow. When he looked up, he saw Lucas approaching, jacket gone, sleeves rolled up, killing intent all over

him.

Marsh lowered his phone and smirked.

Lucas’s eyes went straight to the private jet behind him.

“You’re here,” Marsh said with a smug grin, like he’d been waiting all along.

Lucas shifted his gaze from the jet to him. “You were waiting?”

“Of course. I’ve been right here, ready to give you a big surprise.”

After speaking, he snapped his fingers. The lights around them came on, and Lucas realized he was surrounded.

There were far more men here than outside.

Lucas let out a cold, dismissive laugh. Slowly and calmly, he unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt. “If I win, Katherine comes back with me.”

“Win first.” Marsh waved his hand. Instantly, everyone rushed at Lucas.

Lucas clenched his fists. Even outnumbered, he didn’t hesitate.

Marsh leaned back and lit a cigarette, smoking slowly. A subordinate came over and reported, “Lucas’s men are here.”

“Stop them.” Marsh said lightly, watching with amusement as Lucas fought while being surrounded.

No matter how strong someone was, two fists couldn’t handle so many attackers. Even Lucas got hit a few times. But he seemed tireless. The longer he fought, the faster and stronger he became.

After finishing his cigarette, Marsh crushed it under his shoe and stepped forward, blocking Lucas’s punch.

They both held grudges. Every strike was fierce.

When Marsh joined in, the others backed away.

Marsh’s attacks were ruthless and aggressive. Lucas was already injured, so he had to shift from offense to defense.

Marsh’s fist hit Lucas’s shoulder. He sneered. “Still not admitting defeat?”

Lucas gave a faint smirk. “I never surrendered.”

Marsh chuckled. “You’re in a rush. Make it look like you really love her.”

“Whether I love her or not isn’t your concern.” Lucas’s eyes were filled with killing intent as he threw a strong punch.

Right then, the roar of a plane taking off filled the sky.

Marsh dodged and stepped back, looking up at the plane rising into the air. His brows lifted. A slow smile spread across his face.
