“You don’t get a choice.” Rage filled Lucas’s eyes leaving no room for resistance. He grabbed a set of Katherine’s clothes and dragged her toward the door.

Downstairs, inside the car, Katherine was shoved into the back seat by Lucas. At that moment, two messages popped up on her phone-from Julian and Ethan.

When Lucas entered the room, they’d hidden behind the door. While his attention was fully focused on the wardrobe, they’d slipped out from behind it and run away.

Of course, they’d been gambling too.

When they heard Lucas and Katherine arguing, they realized there was nowhere in that room they could safely hide tonight. Their only option was to take the risk.

They’d stayed in the hallway the entire time and watched Lucas drag Katherine away.

The two kids were deeply worried about Katherine’s situation.

Lucas had people searching everywhere for Rachel while Katherine sat in the back seat, secretly replying to Julian and Ethan’s messages with her head lowered.

During that time, Katherine noticed Lucas constantly calling Rachel.

They split up to search for Rachel. Katherine, who had changed into another set of clothes in the car, stood beside the vehicle.

She wanted to leave, but Lucas’s men guarded the amusement park entrance. She couldn’t get out.

Searching for someone in such a massive amusement park was exhausting. Because of one Rachel, everyone was doomed to stay up all night.

“Don’t be an idiot. If we jump from here, we’ll both die. He won’t be able to save either of us.”

The Ferris wheel slowly rose higher. Its highest point reached nearly 650 feet-about the height of 70 floors. No one would survive a fall rom here.

And the cabin door wasn’t closed. Cold wind rushed inside, and even in the middle of summer, Katherine felt a chill spread through her body.

“Then let’s find out.”

With that, Rachel suddenly lunged at Katherine madness blazing in her eyes.

Katherine dodged sideways, her brows tightly frrowed. “You’ve lost your mind. Riski life just to prove whether a man loves you or no-do you really think that’s worth it?”

“Katherine, everything changed because of you I won’t let you go. I swear I won’t.”
