’Who? Who did she say she was?’
’Julian Sherman’s agent?’
Cecelia Archer had been worrying about how to find Julian Sherman, and now she’d actually met his agent!
"My name is Luna Linden. It’s a pleasure to meet you; I’ve heard so much about you. I’m a huge fan of Julian Sherman’s. I heard he was attending an event here today, so I came specifically to try and get his autograph. I never expected to meet you! It’s such an honor!"
’A fan of Julian’s?’ This girl was gorgeous, and her elegant outfit screamed money. She was clearly a wealthy heiress. Lena’s interest was instantly piqued.
"Is that so? What a coincidence! It’s like they say, birds of a feather flock together. This must be fate. Come on, I’ll take you to see Julian right now."
"Oh, and what happened today is a secret. Don’t you dare tell a soul."
In the next moment, the two of them also left the restroom.
Lena led her through the crowd, and it wasn’t long before they spotted Julian Sherman.
"Julian, over here!"
She waved in his direction. Cecelia followed her gaze and saw a tall, elegant man standing alone, holding a glass of wine. He seemed a little out of place.
’Isn’t that the guy from before? The one whose arm I was holding when I came in? The man with the sports car?’
’He’s Julian Sherman? No way, it can’t be.’
’I know what Julian Sherman looks like. He doesn’t look like this in his pictures online.’
As they spoke, Julian Sherman walked over, and Lena introduced Cecelia Archer to him.
Cecelia Archer’s eyes went wide.
"Lena, this is my first time seeing him in person. Why does he look so different from his photos and videos?"
Lena said, "That’s where our Julian loses out. He’s a perfect 100 in terms of handsomeness, but the camera only captures about a 90. He’s much more handsome in person than on screen, isn’t he? You’re not the only one; everyone says so."
"But you’re different, Luna Linden. Based on my years of industry experience, I can tell at a glance you have an extremely photogenic face. Even if you’re an 80 in real life, you’d be a 100 on camera. You’re the kind of person who was born for the lens."
Cecelia Archer was speechless.
’Is she laying it on this thick just because I helped her? All this praise is making me feel awkward.’
"Not at all, Lena. You’re too kind."
"I’m not just being kind. I genuinely think you’re a talent I want to sign."
As she spoke, she glanced at her watch.
"It’s not convenient to talk here. In any case, the banquet won’t be starting for a little while. Let’s go talk over there."
She took Julian Sherman’s arm with one hand and pulled Cecelia Archer along with the other, wanting to find a different place to discuss signing her.
But Cecelia Archer’s mind wasn’t on this. She was just being polite; her thoughts were consumed with Grace Sterling.
Just as she was about to show Julian Sherman the photo of Grace Sterling and ask if he had seen the girl, her gaze suddenly shifted. She noticed an intense stare from the crowd fixed in their direction.
The girl was dressed to the nines, her eyes sparkling with adoration. She looked so familiar—it was Grace Sterling!
"Wait, Lena. I came with a friend. She’s calling for me; let me bring her with us."
Cecelia Archer pulled her hand free from Lena’s, ran up to Grace Sterling, and yanked her over.
"This is my friend, Grace Sterling. She’s also a huge fan of Julian’s. Let her join us."
Grace Sterling had called in favors with several friends, gone through multiple channels, and spent over a hundred thousand just to get a ticket and sneak in here.
She hadn’t dared to approach Julian Sherman, thinking she would be satisfied just watching him from a distance all night. She never imagined that she would not only end up right in front of him but even get personally introduced!
She looked so happy she was about to faint, and Cecelia Archer quickly steadied her.
"I was sent by your dad. Don’t get overexcited. Just come with me."
