“When your parents are free, have them come talk to me about what kind of partnership resources they’re looking for. I may not have officially started working for the Temple family yet, but I’ll speak to my grandparents about it. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to sing your praises to them.”
Hearing Hannah’s words, Cherry’s eyes instantly reddened. She covered her mouth, trying to stifle a sob, and nodded emotionally.
“Hannah, you’re such a good person. I knew I made the right choice in siding with you. I was so wrong when you first came back. Thank you for being the bigger person and not holding it against me.”
If she could turn back time, she would never have been so foolish. She would have treated Hannah with respect from the very beginning, just like Samuel.
At that thought, Cherry couldn’t help but glance at Samuel, a pang of jealousy in her heart.
He was so lucky. He got to work with Hannah at the same company and build such a good relationship with her.
“What are you looking at me for? Are you jealous of my relationship with Hannah?”
“Let me tell you, you can’t compare to what Hannah and I have. No matter how well you do, you’ll never surpass me. I’m Hannah’s number one loyal servant!”
Samuel knew exactly what she was thinking from that one look and didn’t hesitate to fire back.
“You just met her earlier than I did. If I had met her first, things would be completely different,” Cherry retorted, not backing down.
Hannah couldn’t believe they were starting to argue over something so trivial. She pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a headache coming on.
“Alright, alright, that’s enough. Stop fighting over nothing. I don’t need servants. We’re all family. Now, let’s listen to what they’re saying. It sounds like they might be about to make a move on Lionel. We don’t want to miss the good part.”
From now on, they just needed to do their jobs well. Hannah would see everything they did.
At the ruined building in Sova.
“Mr. Rosenberg, I’m curious about something,” the leader said suddenly. “You and Hannah are getting a divorce. The whole world knows about it. So, are you here voluntarily, or did she beg you to come?”
His question piqued the curiosity of the others.
“Yeah, tell us!”
“You didn’t just shamelessly show up on your own to play the hero, did you? Is Hannah coming later?”
