“Anyway, this incident is over for now. If Quennel does reveal something about my mother later, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.”
In truth, she had considered this possibility as well.
“Besides, all we can do now is take things one step at a time. He helped me deal with those people. I can't just go and ask him if he's deliberately hiding information from me. Even if he is, confronting him now would just prove that I seriously suspect him.”
Hannah's words convinced them. There was really no point in confronting him right now.
“It's getting late. You two should get some rest. We've all been running around for this and haven't had a proper break. If anything else comes up, we'll deal with it later.”
Hannah stood up and headed upstairs. “There's no use racking our brains about it now and losing sleep.”
Since Hannah had said so, they didn't argue. They all went to their own rooms to rest after a long day.

The next morning, in the hospital's VIP room.
Lionel had just taken his medicine when a nurse walked in with a letter.
“A courier just dropped this off for you.”
Lionel took it curiously. “Who sent it?” he asked instinctively.
The nurse shook her head. “He didn't say. He just said you'd know once you got the letter.”
With that, the nurse turned and left to attend to other matters.
Lionel looked down at the letter in confusion when Hannah's situation suddenly popped into his mind.
But on second thought, Quennel was capable of kidnapping and torturing Sandra.
Fabricating a lie to trick Hannah and then swoop in to save her... it was entirely possible. The letter might actually be telling the truth.
But that raised another question. If the letter was true, what should he do?
Should he foolishly fall for it and run to Hannah with this story? As he struggled with what to do, a bold idea came to him.
—
At the Temple residence.
“Miss Hannah, Miss Hannah! That courier came again with another letter! I still couldn't get a good look at him!” the butler rushed in, handing the envelope to Hannah.
