That way, he'd be so focused on testing me that he wouldn't think about doing anything else.
Hannah thought for a moment before saying, “The next time you two meet, the moment he starts testing you, just call him out. Ask him if he’s testing you, if he suspects you.”
“Then, start a fight with him. After you’re done, come back here and start a fight with me. Pull the security footage from the house and send it to Lionel. Tell him you’re done working with him. If he insists on continuing the partnership, demand he give you a dedicated contact and make him promise to never suspect you again. And if he does, he’ll have to pay you a hefty compensation.”
Cherry’s eyes lit up at Hannah’s suggestion, and she gave her an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
“That’s brilliant. It’s actually a really good plan. I’ll do just that. The only thing is, I don’t have any reason to go see him right now.”
She continued, “If Lionel wants to test me, he’ll have to come to me. I’ll just wait for him to make the first move. I’m not the one in a hurry; he is.”
Samuel crossed his arms, leaned back slightly, and a faint, unreadable smile played on his lips. “I have to admit, Lionel isn’t a complete idiot. He’s pieced together some key information. It’s just a shame for him that he never imagined we were already working together, and that everything we’ve done was a sham from the start.”
Honestly, Samuel was dying to go tell him that it was all fake, just as he had suspected.
He had been played from the very beginning. The look on his face when he finally learned the truth would be absolutely priceless, downright comical.
She was determined to make him experience that suffocating feeling of one crisis piling on top of another before the first was even resolved.
Taking his cue, Samuel immediately picked up his phone to call the police. He was a man of action; once he decided on something, he did it without wasting a single second.

Meanwhile, Lionel was trying to figure out how to summon Cherry when he received a call from the police, demanding his cooperation in an investigation. They told him he was being accused of false imprisonment and that he needed to get to the Rosenberg estate immediately.
