Chapter 274 Token
Colin rubbed his thin lips against Faye's earlobe and deliberately blew hot breath in.
After finishing speaking, he lowered his head to bite her neck.
Faye involuntarily trembled, clenched the towel, pressed her hands against the edge of the sink, and said, "Colin, stop it."
Colin said, "I'll help you take a bath."
Faye replied, "No, thanks."
Colin smirked, "Then, could you please help me take a bath."
Heating this, Faye raised her head and wanted to turn around and push Colin away, but when she saw his face in the mirror, she was instantly stunned.
The man in the mirror looked flirtatious. He was lowering his eyes to look at her with obvious affection for her in his eyes.
Faye parted her red lips but swallowed the words of refusal on the tip of her tongue in the end.
Colin had just wanted to tease her, but when he saw her fall silent, he raise his eyes to look into the mirror.
When their eyes met, Colin narrowed his eyes and said playfully, "What's wrong?"
Faye pursed her lips without answering.
Colin understood what she meant, so he grinned, "Are you feeling pity for me again?"
Faye said, "You must keep a low profile recently."
Colin jokingly said, "I have always kept a low profile except for when showing my affection for you."
Then, he kissed her cheek while she turned her head to look at him.
Later, he loosened the hand around her waist, stood up straight, and started undressing.
Seeing this, Faye blushed and stepped out of the bathroom.
Colin chuckled as the bathroom door closed.
He then sat in the bathtub, stretched out his long legs, and draped his hands lazily on the edge of the bathtub.
He didn't like taking baths, but now, he suddenly felt good when taking a bath.
Faye was looking at her phone on the bed when Colin came out of the bathroom.
He stepped forward, stuck his head over, and found she was looking through Facebook.
Faye didn't have many friends in real life, and the number of her contacts online was also limited.
Rebecca had posted a photo of her working overtime, in which there was a computer at work and a bucket of half-eaten instant noodles.
Faye gave her a thumbs-up.
Tanner replied under the post, "If you promise to show me respect in the future, I will send you some midnight snacks."
Rebecca replied succinctly, "No, thanks!"
As Faye swiped the screen down, she saw Alexander's post.
He seemed very sad because he posted a picture of the night view of the city and said, "In this world, people are trying their best to live although some do not want to live at heart."
Seeing this, Faye paused her hand and suddenly thought of Jake.
She had almost forgotten to talk with Colin about him.
When she was thinking about it, a warm hand suddenly landed on her ankle.
When Faye turned her head back, she saw Colin wearing only a bath towel around his waist. Now, one of his legs was kneeling on the end of the bed, and the other was stepping on the ground. Seeing her glancing back, he showed a wicked smile, looking aggressive.
Faye asked, "Have you finished taking the bath?"
Colin raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "Why are you staring blankly at Alexander's Facebook page?"
Hearing the faint jealousy in his words, Faye couldn't help laughing, "Did you send Alexander to investigate Doctor Thomas?"
Hearing this, he laughed, "No."
Hearing his answer, Faye turned over and tried to get up.
Faye hadn't slept well for the past two days, so she hadn't wakened up until nine o'clock the next morning.
If Cindy hadn't knocked on the door, she would have slept a little longer.
Hearing the knock on the door, Faye opened her eyes, rubbed her eyebrows, and asked, "Cindy, what's the matter?"
Cindy replied, "Ma'am, it's nine o'clock. Are you going to work today?"
Hearing this, Faye took the phone on the bedside cabinet over, had a look, and frowned slightly.
Cindy didn't hear her answer and worried that she had fallen asleep again, so she said, "Ma'am, are you awake?"
Faye said, " Cindy, please prepare a glass of warm milk, and I'll get up soon."
Cindy replied with a smile, "Would you like anything else other than milk?"
Faye said, "No, thanks."
Faye rarely overslept. After she got up, washed up, and changed her clothes in a hurry, she picked up her phone to confirm that no one from the company had contacted her and that only Colin had sent her a good morning message.
Faye clicked on Colin's name, moved her fingers on the screen, and sent a message, asking, "Why didn't you wake me up when you got up for work?"
Colin instantly replied, "I could not bear to do it. And I wanted you to get more sleep."
Faye pursed her lips without replying. When she was about to put her phone in her pocket, Colin sent another message over.
After she clicked on it, she saw a picture of a pair of rings.
Faye's fingertips trembled when she magnified the picture.
Each ring was platinum, inset with a diamond in a hidden place of the inner bezel.
When Faye was fascinated by the ring, her phone vibrated again.
So, she exited the picture and checked the new message.
Colin said, "Honey, can I engrave my name on your ring?"
