Chapter 163
Robert’s Point of View
We entered the club; the familiar atmosphere and the music thumping against the walls welcomed us with its usual clamor. One of the staff approached us with a slight bow, his face full of greeting. "Sir, we haven’t seen you in a long time... your place in the VIP section upstairs is ready. Please, follow me."
We ascended the stairs with confident strides toward the luxury area overlooking the lounge and took our seats in the plush leather chairs. Carlos sighed as he leaned back, his tone still carrying traces of shock. "I still can’t believe what we did today."
I looked at him coldly, adjusting my posture. "Be patient, Carlos, and you’ll see things that are truly unbelievable."
The waiter arrived quickly, bowing respectfully as he waited for our orders. We ordered drinks, and then the waiter asked in a low voice, "Shall I send the girls over, sir?"
"No," I answered with a firm brevity before he could even finish his question.
The waiter left immediately, and Carlos turned to me with a mocking smile. "He doesn’t realize you own a club full of girls."
"He thinks I would touch a girl here... he’s insane," I replied with a cold smile, watching the movement below.
Carlos nodded in agreement. "The girls at your club are something special, unique and most importantly, they undergo medical exams."
I remembered something vital then and turned to him with complete seriousness. "And you, Carlos... you haven’t had your monthly exam yet. I won’t allow you to touch any girl until you do."
Carlos groaned, slapping his hand against the armrest. "Fine, Robert, I’ll do it... Do you think I have AIDS or something, for you to be this worried?"
"Do you think I collect all this money for these girls if I didn’t ensure health protection and privacy?" I countered, narrowing my eyes.
"I know, Robert," he said with annoyance, looking away. "But sometimes you exaggerate."
I emphasized my words, pointing my finger for effect. "Both the customer and the girl have mandatory exams, Carlos. I won’t allow my club to turn into a haven for AIDS or any STDs."
Carlos raised his hands in surrender, losing his patience. "Fine, fine... I’ll go with you right now to get my tests done."
I furrowed my brows in surprise, checking my watch. "Now? Are you crazy? It’s almost midnight."
"What’s the problem?" he insisted. "The doctor always works late... I’ll go with you just so I don’t have to hear another medical lecture from you."
"As you wish," I said, shaking my head at his stubbornness.
At that moment, the drinks arrived. The waiter poured the whiskey into crystal glasses. Carlos raised his glass with pride, and I raised mine to meet it. "To our victory over the Don," I said triumphantly.
The glasses clinked with a sharp ring as we said in unison: "Cheers!"
