The business partner, following Cora’s instructions, handed me her phone.
I quickly grabbed it and called my friend, asking her to bring the money over in the next thirty minutes.
Time was slipping away, and I could see that there were only ten minutes left before the deadline.
Cora couldn’t wait any longer and stood up.
“I’m such a fool, actually believing this bitch! As if this bitch has any real friends who’d show up with money
to bail her out.”
“Yeah! This is just her stalling for time.”
“Manager, get someone to break her hands and feet first! No one in their right mind would dare cross the
Stevens family to help her. Let’s not waste any more time.”
As the manager and bodyguards approached me, looking like they were ready to attack, I raised my hand to
stop them. “Hold on, isn’t there still ten minutes? In ten minutes, someone will be here to settle the bill.”
“Fine, ten minutes–hell, I’ll give you twenty. If someone actually shows up with the money by then, I’ll crawl
out of here on my knees with a piece of steak between my teeth like a dog.”
My eyes lit up. “You said that, remember it.”
“That’s right, I said it. What about it?” She turned to the crowd. “You all heard me, you’re my witnesses!”
The entire room erupted once again, “Hahaha, I’m not even going home. This is too good.”
“Who would’ve thought that coming here for a meal would turn into this kind of spectacle?”
As the ten minutes drew closer, a heavyset man, unable to wait any longer, reached out to touch me.
“Don’t touch me!” I quickly swung my hand back at him.
“Hah, the breasts, the skin, even without touching, I can tell. Mr. Stevens, why don’t you just give her to me?”
Chris smiled, drinking a mouthful of red wine while playing with the lighter in his hand, “Why not? If she can’t pay, consider her yours to… entertain.”
“Hahaha, I’ll go first then.”
Everyone was convinced that I couldn’t pay, so they Ignored my protests and began closing in.
My voice was so cold it felt lethal, but the wealthy men didn’t even care about the killing aura I radiated.
Cora, with a mocking look in her eyes, instructed Chris’s bodyguards, “Get her, pin her down so those

gentlemen can have their fun.”
“Yes!” As soon as the words were spoken, the bodyguards rushed toward me, surrounding me.
I looked at Chris, my heart frozen in despair.
We were still technically married, yet he allowed other men to violate me, humiliating not just me, but himself
as well.
But he didn’t care. “Don’t look at me like that, I’m not going to help you.”
“I just want Cora to feel better.”
With that, the group of greedy men started to chant.
“Come with me, sweetheart!”
“I’ve got money, I can pay the bill for you!”
“No, no, come with me, I’ve got more money and I’m slimmer than him.”
They gave orders to the bodyguards, who grabbed me, and the men began tearing my clothes off.
I struggled with everything I had, and the whole room erupted into laughter.
I made sure to memorize their faces. “You dare laugh at me now? I’ll make you the joke next.”
“And you.” Cora spat at me. “Strip her skirt off. Time’s up, let’s not give her more time to drag this out…”
Before she could finish, a group of bodyguards in black suits burst through the door. They were well–trained and quickly pushed the ones surrounding me aside.
Right behind them strode in Natalie Greene, the renowned president of Boston’s largest bank.
Her expression was grave, her steps firm as she entered, carrying a briefcase in hand.
“Ms. Stone, I’ve brought the money. I hope I’m not too late.”
