My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 405

Jabco stepped out of the house without rushing, but there was weight in every step he took. His jaw was tight. He had heard enough from inside. The tone of that man’s voice alone was enough to make his blood rise.

The air outside felt heavy. Nom stood near the gate, her shoulders tense, her hands clenched at her sides. In front of her was a large man with broad shoulders and a face twisted with anger. His presence alone felt wrong, like a storm that had no warning before it hit.

“Leave her and get out of here,” Jabco said, his voice steady but low.

He did not shout. He did not need to. There was something in his tone that carried authority. His eyes were sharp, fixed on the man in front of him.

Nom blinked in confusion when she saw him. “Mr. Grey…” she said softly, clearly not expecting him to step in.

The man turned his head slowly and looked Jabco up and down. His lips curled with mockery. “Who the hell are you?” he asked, his voice rough and disrespectful.

Jabco let out a short breath that almost sounded like a laugh. Not amused. Just unimpressed.

“You can’t afford to know who I am,” he replied calmly. “So before I tell you, it’s better you walk away.”

The words were simple but the meaning behind them was clear. He was giving him a chance.

The man’s face darkened. He clenched his teeth and turned to Nom instead as if Jabco did not even deserve a reply.

“So this is your new man?” he snapped. “You sleeping with him now?”

The accusation hung in the air, ugly and shameless.

Nom’s face lost its color immediately. "No, What are you saying?" Her voice trembled, but she tried to stand firm. "He’s our guest. Please, Jordyn, just leave"

She moved closer to push him away, her hands pressing against his chest but Jordyn shoved her back without hesitation.

It happened fast.

Nom stumbled, her balance lost. A small gasp escaped her lips.

Before she could fall, Jabco stepped forward and caught her by the arm, steadying her. His hand was firm but careful.

"You okay?" he asked quietly, his attention fully on her for a second.

Nom nodded, though fear was written all over her face. She looked at Jordyn again, and this time there was something close to desperation in her eyes.

"Jordyn, I don’t want anything to do with you anymore. Please. Just leave"

Her voice was not loud, but it carried pain. This was not the first time she had said these words. That much was clear.

Jordyn’s gaze shifted to the way Jabco was still holding her arm. The sight of it only fueled his anger. His nostrils flared. His pride was wounded.

“You sent me to jail,” he growled. “You lied and said I hurt you.”

“You did hurt me,” Nom said, her voice breaking slightly. Her hands trembled at her sides.

“And now you think I’ll just watch you be with another man?” he continued, ignoring her words completely. “Don’t even dream about it.”

Without warning, he reached forward and grabbed Nom’s wrist harshly. His fingers wrapped tightly around her skin. She winced.

He pulled her toward him with force. Her body slammed against his chest with a dull sound. She gasped from the impact.

“You’re coming with me,” he said through clenched teeth.

Fear flashed across her face. She tried to pull her hand free but his grip was too strong.

At that exact moment, Jabco moved again.

He grabbed Nom’s other hand firmly, pulling her back toward him. His movements were controlled, but his eyes had changed. The calmness was thinning.

Nom froze.

Now she was between two men, each holding one of her arms. Her heart pounded so hard she could hear it in her ears. She felt trapped, like an object being fought over.
