"Come on this is your wedding day; it should be happy. Absolutely no more crying," I told her fixing her runny eye makeup.
"So do you want me to take more pictures of you two or should I move onto the groomsmen?"
"Why don't you go and get the groom and his family," Jackie suggested guiding the photographer back towards the church.
John walked over to us handing Ashling a tissue. She said her thanks and walked back when Anthony called her for more pictures. Warm arms wrapped around my waist making the world stop for a moment.
"Did I tell you that you look beautiful?"
I smiled, "Only a few times." In actuality the number in counting is 18.
"Well, then you look beautiful."
19.
I turned in his arms and lead my head against his chest whishing the world would just stop.
"Allison and Alexander get back here right now!"
Giggles circled around John and I as Nina helped her husband Anderson walk on the grass. Anderson was a lovely person and was recovering very well. When he was found he had a number of broken bones and some intensive head trauma. He was in a wheelchair for a while but has now up graded to a walking stick.
"It is nice to see up and moving around, Anderson," John greeted him.
"It is nice to be out," he smiled, "Have you heard anything?"
I looked up at John as he shook his head. Anderson didn't have to name who he was talking about for John to answer.
"Well if you do hear anything please let us know," Nina said before helping Anderson to one of the benches.
"When was the last time you talked to her?"
"About four weeks ago. I think she is going to head back to Massachusetts for some unconventional treatments," he said sadly.
"Maybe it will be good for her to go and be around other witches. I know that if it wasn't for the pack's support everything would have been a lot harder."
We pulled up to Kalee's house and I could tell John was hesitant. His hands gripped the steering wheel as if he were going to suck the life out of it.
"You know if you grip that any tighter it might just come off."
Immediately he released the steering wheel leaving two perfect indents. No one would ever know he was nervous. John exited the car and walked around to open my door. Chivalry is no dead ladies! His hand went straight to mine as we walked up driveway to the light yellow bungalow. It was a cute with white shutters and a small garden in the front. The door was a bright red with a dark stained knocker. John reached up and knocked three times.
"Who on earth could that be? Are you expecting anyone?"
I turned and looked up at John, "Do you recognize that voice?"
John shook his head and positioned himself so that I was standing behind him.
The door swung open revealing a woman who was in her early forties with short blonde hair and the same blue green eyes that Kalee had. She scanned me and John and I could have sworn I saw her sniff the air too.
She narrowed her eyes at John but I could tell it was really for me. I think she was trying to burn a whole through him to me.
