"They are doing well. They are debating on whether to stay here or go to another pack out east near the coast somewhere."
"Really?"
"I don't see why they would stay," I said, "Everyone looks at both of them as if they were from another planet and people are hesitant to talk to them."
"I think it would be best if they stay here, but they have to do what they think is best."
Kathryn came back with a cup of steaming hot tea, "Alright continue."
Kalee nodded and began where she left off, "I got home and opened my mind up to all the possibilities of what could be happening to Charlie. From the limiting I gathered that Charlie had two major events in his life before it began to spiral out of control. The first was his sister's death. The second was finding Grace. When his sister, Sally, died that is what set everything in motion really. When she died her spirit never really moved on."
"She stayed here?" Kathryn asked.
"Yes but she never intended to. Her spirit was moving on when she was drawn to a coven was channeling their energy. The coven saw her spirit and wanted to save her."
"They wanted to stop the process of death. What were they thinking? There are always repercussions for interfering with death," Kathryn said, "What coven was it?"
"I don't know but they were very old and none of them had children. Sally was the perfect way in their mind that they could have a child to teach and pass on their magic. Turns out that with their old age and their interfering with the way of death led to their own untimely death."
"Why did they die though? They were trying to help her," I asked.
"It doesn't matter," Kathryn said, "Death has his reasons of taking the lives that he does and whether we wish he didn't it is for the best. Witches have tried to compromise with him but he won't listen."
"You talk as if he is a person."
By the way Kathryn and Kalee reacted to John's statement it was a touchy subject.
"John, you believe that the full moon changes the way a man thinks of a woman correct," John nodded, "What if it had nothing to do with the full moon? What if death had his ways of blocking the logical part of a man's mind leaving them only to relay on their wolf instincts? Could you believe that?"
"Of course not! It has always been that way since the time the first person shifted that on every full moon a male would want his mate."
