“Why are you upset already?

“You used to enjoy seeing Jaden cry. His skin was so pale and soft that bruises showed so clearly. You would leave marks on him on purpose, then laugh like it was the most amusing thing in the world.”

The warmth in Zachary’s eyes vanished.

His claws pushed out from his paws, curved and sharp. The coldness in his stare was so sudden that Wesley’s body instinctively leaned back.

Wesley cleared his throat and forced that smile to stay in place.

“I am only speaking the truth. You did those things yourself. Did you forget?

“Oh, right. You hit your head.”

He clearly wanted to provoke Zachary. Each word came slowly, as if he was enjoying the way Zachary’s temper rose.

“Jaden was so pitiful back then. He was still tiny when you threw him outside in the snow. No food. No

water.

“I really don’t understand why he still clings to you. He and his Alpha are the same. You have fooled both of them.

“Do you remember how often you hit him? You even made us help…”

Zachary could not remember those things, but that did not make them hurt any less.

Every sentence felt like it was carving into his chest. His body trembled, and his breathing grew uneven. was as if someone had dragged his heart out and crushed it with both hands.

Wesley crashed onto the frozen ground with a dull thud. Pain flashed across his face, and he cursed through clenched teeth, “F*ck! What the hell are you doing?”

This was the first time Zachary had looked truly vicious since becoming a lynx. He raised his paws and struck Wesley again and again.

Wesley clearly had not expected Zachary to attack without hesitation. The scratches on his neck burned ho and his face twisted with pain.

A moment later, he screamed at the top of his lungs. “Ah! Help! Someone help! Zachary has lost his mind! He is trying to kill me!”

Jaden and Taylor happened to be running nearby. The moment they heard the shouting and saw Zachary fighting Wesley, they rushed over without hesitation.

One grabbed Wesley’s arm.

The other caught his leg.

The cubs‘ strength was shockingly good. Together, they pinned Wesley in place right in front of Zachary.

They didn’t appear as cubs attempting to intervene in a fight; instead, they resembled two small allies helping Zachary keep his target subdued.

Zachary thought, D*mn it! He hurt Jaden before, and now he wants to use my lost memories to hurt me too!

He did not waste the opportunity.

His paws slapped Wesley from both sides. When that still did not feel enough, he lowered his head and bit him several times.

Wesley’s face flushed red with anger and pain. His cries grew sharper, almost like a pig squealing under a knife.

Even with so many eyes on him, Zachary showed no sign of stopping. His fur stood on end, and rage rolled off him so clearly that no one could mistake it.

Corey had only just escaped the house after being scolded by his Alpha and Sire. When he saw the fight, delight immediately lit his face.

He stretched out an arm to block Aloysius. “Do not go over. You will get scratched, too.”

“Grrr… Zachary had been pushed beyond the point of reason. No one was getting him to let Wesley go easily.
