Chapter 171 The Claws Came Out
Zachary even had to insult Wesley in a way Wesley could understand.
Honestly, talking to him was tiring.

For a split second, Wesley’s face stiffened. Then the same fake, gentle smile returned. He glanced at the people still lingering nearby before speaking again, his tone soft enough to sound harmless.
“Why are you upset already?
“You used to enjoy seeing Jaden cry. His skin was so pale and soft that bruises showed so clearly. You would leave marks on him on purpose, then laugh like it was the most amusing thing in the world.”
The warmth in Zachary’s eyes vanished.
His claws pushed out from his paws, curved and sharp. The coldness in his stare was so sudden that Wesley’s body instinctively leaned back.
Wesley cleared his throat and forced that smile to stay in place.
“I am only speaking the truth. You did those things yourself. Did you forget?
“Oh, right. You hit your head.”
He clearly wanted to provoke Zachary. Each word came slowly, as if he was enjoying the way Zachary’s temper rose.
“Jaden was so pitiful back then. He was still tiny when you threw him outside in the snow. No food. No
water.
“I really don’t understand why he still clings to you. He and his Alpha are the same. You have fooled both of them.
“Do you remember how often you hit him? You even made us help…”
Zachary could not remember those things, but that did not make them hurt any less.
Every sentence felt like it was carving into his chest. His body trembled, and his breathing grew uneven. was as if someone had dragged his heart out and crushed it with both hands.
It
Zachary snapped, “Shut your d*mn mouth!”
Wesley blinked at him with a look of false innocence. “Why are you angry? You were the one who did it. Am I not even allowed to mention it?”
Zachary’s fur bristled all over his body. His pupils thinned into sharp lines, and a deep growl rolled out of
his throat.
Jaden was so terri-

Chapter 171 The Claws Came Out
Zachary shot off the rock and slammed straight into him.
Finished
Wesley crashed onto the frozen ground with a dull thud. Pain flashed across his face, and he cursed through clenched teeth, “F*ck! What the hell are you doing?”
This was the first time Zachary had looked truly vicious since becoming a lynx. He raised his paws and struck Wesley again and again.
Wesley clearly had not expected Zachary to attack without hesitation. The scratches on his neck burned ho and his face twisted with pain.
A moment later, he screamed at the top of his lungs. “Ah! Help! Someone help! Zachary has lost his mind! He is trying to kill me!”
Jaden and Taylor happened to be running nearby. The moment they heard the shouting and saw Zachary fighting Wesley, they rushed over without hesitation.
One grabbed Wesley’s arm.
The other caught his leg.
The cubs‘ strength was shockingly good. Together, they pinned Wesley in place right in front of Zachary.
They didn’t appear as cubs attempting to intervene in a fight; instead, they resembled two small allies helping Zachary keep his target subdued.
Zachary thought, D*mn it! He hurt Jaden before, and now he wants to use my lost memories to hurt me too!
He did not waste the opportunity.
His paws slapped Wesley from both sides. When that still did not feel enough, he lowered his head and bit him several times.
Wesley’s face flushed red with anger and pain. His cries grew sharper, almost like a pig squealing under a knife.
The noise quickly drew the nearby therians and sub–therians over.
Even with so many eyes on him, Zachary showed no sign of stopping. His fur stood on end, and rage rolled off him so clearly that no one could mistake it.
Aloysius stared at the mess in shock. “What happened here?”
Corey had only just escaped the house after being scolded by his Alpha and Sire. When he saw the fight, delight immediately lit his face.
He stretched out an arm to block Aloysius. “Do not go over. You will get scratched, too.”
“Grrr… Zachary had been pushed beyond the point of reason. No one was getting him to let Wesley go easily.
With Jaden and Taylor right in the middle, the adults could not rush in carelessly. They were afraid of accidentally hurting the cubs, so someone quickly ran to call the chief and Bruce.

Chapter 171 The Claws Came Out
By the time Yael and Matthew arrived, the scene was already a complete mess.
Matthew saw the chaos from a distance, and his first reaction was immediate.
Zachary had been bullied.
That was the only thought that entered his mind.
Finished
Even with Zachary in beast form, Matthew’s protective filter was still thick enough to blind him. He charged forward like black lightning.
Then, he got close enough to see what was really happening.
The silver–gray lynx was on top of Wesley, beating him hard. Meanwhile, Taylor and Jaden were helping on either side.
Matthew’s tight expression eased.
His
steps slowed.
He walked the rest of the way over with far less urgency.
After several more chaotic moments, the therians finally managed to pull everyone apart.
The second Wesley saw the chief, he cried even harder.
With the scratches on his neck and face, he looked miserable enough that anyone who did not know better might have thought he was the victim.
Zachary growled low in his throat.
Even after Matthew picked him up, his paws kept swiping toward Wesley.
Wesley sobbed loudly, “What happened last time was my Alpha’s fault. I only came to apologize to my brother. I barely spoke before he jumped at me…”
Zachary watched him lie without even blinking.
His anger surged again.
He broke free from Matthew’s hold and scratched Wesley once more in front of everyone.
Wesley howled even louder. “Chief…”
“Awoo!” Zachary
was so furious that his whole body seemed ready to explode. The fur Matthew had just smoothed down puffed up again immediately.
No one there understood lynx language.
Even so, not many people looked convinced by Wesley’s story. Their eyes carried doubt as they watched
him cry.
Zachary did not care whether they believed him. He only wanted another chance to tear into Wesley.

The chief knew he could not decide the matter based on Wesley’s words alone. For the moment, he asked someone to take Wesley away and treat his wounds first.
Zachary Zachary stayed in Matthew’s arms after that, silent and stiff.
Matthew stroked his back slowly, trying to calm him. “It’s all right. Do not be afraid. You were very powerful just now.”
Zachary only curled into himself. His ears drooped, and the fury that had burned through him moments ago seemed to collapse into something heavy and dull.
Matthew furrowed his brows and carefully examined Zachary from head to tail, his voice tinged with concern. “Where did you get hurt?”
