Chapter 325 A Reunion

As they were about to reach the Black Panther Tribe, Sean spotted a huge crowd gathered at the marketplace near the entrance from afar. For a moment, he thought their tribe was under attack and was startled.
After landing, the dazzling variety of goods only shocked Sean and Lanny even more. But before they could take a proper look around, Alfred hurried over with the others.
In particular, Sean and Lanny’s old friends panted as they ran over. Even after ten years apart, they recognized each other instantly in the crowd.
Yael’s Alpha rushed forward and hugged Sean tightly, both of them crying as they clutched each other’s shoulders, unable to form a complete sentence.
Alfred had always felt guilty about what happened back then. Now, with tears streaming down his face, he clutched his chest and let out a long sigh. “It’s good that you’re back… Goodness…”
As Sean and Lanny walked through the marketplace, they were amazed at the pottery, baskets, candles, soap, and carts on display.
When they learned that everything had been made by Zachary, they seemed bewildered as they glanced at Matthew. All of a sudden, they didn’t think their child measured up to him.
Sean lowered his voice. “Zachary likes Matthew, right?”
Lanny replied, “Why do you ask?”
Sean said, “It just feels like our kid somehow tricked him into coming back with him.”
Yael, who was nearby, overheard and burst out laughing. “Zachary really likes Matthew. He makes all kinds of delicious food for him every day, and even makes his clothes and shoes. The two of them are inseparable. Neither can live without the other.”
Hearing this, Sean finally relaxed and happily continued strolling with his mate.
Inside the tribe, the ground was paved with smooth stone, forming neat, even roads. The weeds on both sides had been cleared away.
Every household had a small fenced garden outside their cave, growing all kinds of vegetables and herbs. Some were already bearing fruit, and there were even transplanted fruit trees and pepper trees.
Clucking and quacking beasts wandered around in their pens, while long–eared beasts hopped about playfully–it was a lively and charming sight.
Wooden doors had been installed at the cave entrances. Swings and hammocks hung from trees. Round stone mills sat nearby, and large rocks were covered with things laid out to dry. New styles of clothing fluttered in the sunlight.
When they passed by the tribe’s breeding area, Sean and Lanny were completely stunned, unable to speak

The people working inside smiled at them and warmly gave them a tour. “This is the moo beast pen, this is the baa beast pen, and over there are the grunting beasts…”
Zachary had crafted all the bamboo pipes for water, dug drainage channels, furniture, woven containers, hanging cured meat, and pickled vegetables.
By the time Sean and Lanny reached their cave, they were still overwhelmed. The tribe had changed so much, and it felt like a completely different world.
Sean suddenly grabbed his son, wanting to confirm something in person Rarely this serious, he asked, “Matthew, Zachary likes you, right?”
Matthew looked as if he’d been asked a very strange question.. “Of course. He likes me very much.”
Perhaps feeling that it wasn’t enough to describe Zachary’s feelings, he added, “Zachary loves me the
most.”
Such certainty finally put Sean and Lanny completely at ease. After all, Matthew wasn’t someone who was full of himself. Only after truly receiving so much love could he speak so calmly and confidently.
Sean and Lanny’s old cave had been left empty all these years. It could be lived in after a quick cleaning, and they wanted to see their old home again, so they went together.
After three days of barely resting or eating, Zachary finally found Jaden. The weight in his heart lifted, and only then did exhaustion crash over him like a wave.
He had passed the point of hunger, so he didn’t feel it much anymore. Still, he was truly exhausted, and his eyes could barely stay open. The moment he sat down, he didn’t have the strength to get up again.
Matthew walked over. “What’s wrong?”
Zachary rested his hands on his knees, his voice weak. “I want to sleep for a while.”
Matthew crouched in front of him, gently supporting his drooping head with warm hands. His eyes were full of concern. “I’ll carry you to bed.”

Zachary closed his eyes and murmured softly. His forehead rested against Matthew’s shoulder, his arms hanging loosely at his sides. His whole body was limp, his breathing light,
Matthew carefully lifted Zachary and carried him into the cave, placing him on a bed covered with a bamboo mat. He pulled over a thin blanket and draped it over his stomach.
He stayed there, leaning by the bedside and watching him for a long time. Only when Jaden and Taylor returned with the moo beasts did Matthew stand up. He gently touched Zachary’s face, kissed his eyes, then told the two youngsters to stay and watch over him before heading off to help his parents.
Yael and the others worked quickly. The cave that had been empty for so many years was soon refreshed, even fitted with a wooden door.
When Matthew arrived, Sean was standing at the cave entrance, leaning slightly as he gripped the edge of the wooden door, pushing it back and forth with curiosity. He couldn’t help but admire, “Zachary’s a

Yael and the others had already become Zachary’s biggest fans. Hearing this, they immediately chimed in, “Of course! Even Chief Alfred listens to him.”
