says.
“My king, there has to be a mistake. I would never,” he starts to say, but his words are cut off by the resounding slap to his face by my mate. She turns toward me and pushes up on her toes to press a quick kiss on my lips. “Do your worst Valor,” she says. She and Ace step back, leaving me to deal with the ba**ard who manages to get to his feet. “Please don’t hurt my daddy,” Lisa screams. “Don’t worry, you’re next,” Della says with a growl.
I smile as I turn back, and the bastard tries to attack me. F**king coward is stupider than he looks. I catch him in midair, my hand wrapping around his throat. “I thought about dealing with you quickly, but then my queen said to do my worst and what my queen wants she gets.” I punch him repeatedly in the face, enjoying the crunch of his nose and the cracking of his cheekbone. I throw him to the ground, and he lands a few feet away.
He spits blood on the ground and tries to scurry backwards. I stalk toward him. “Please, have mercy,” he pleads as I reach him. I grab him by the collar of his shirt, lifting him off the ground. “Did you have mercy when those girls begged you to stop?” Axel pushes to the surface, wanting a piece of this worthless bastard. My claws extend, and we rake them down
his chest. Blood soaks what remains of his shirt.
I again drop him to the ground. I take a step back and give Axel control. We are bigger than most Alphas because of our vampire blood. When Elijah shifts into an average–sized sh*t brown wolf, Axel snickers. The wolf immediately bows and bares his neck. Part of me feels
bad for the beast. Not bad enough to not end his human counterpart. The wolf must force the shift because Elijah is once again standing before me.
Axel stalks forward while it is obvious Elijah is trying to reason with his wolf. As soon as we reach him, he tries to run but it’s futile. Axel bites down on his middle and lifts the evil pr*ck from the ground. He shakes him like a ragdoll. I relish the sound of his bones breaking. After a few more seconds, Axel drops his lifeless body to the ground. We turn and make our way back toward the king and Della. Axel rubs his head against our mate before he gives me back
control.
I chuckle when Della growls at my naked form, and I’m quickly handed clothes. “Mine,” she says. I pull her into my arms once I’ve pulled on shorts. “Yours, my love.”
Madelena POV
The anger in Della’s eyes has a shiver running down my spine. I’m shocked when everyone

around us bares their necks, but Della, Ace, and Valor don’t notice because their eyes are closed. I realize for the first time that I can feel Della’s aura, but it’s not overwhelming me or Ronan. I look at him confused. He takes my hand and squeezes it. I know that Liora is special, but she isn’t like Amethyst.
“You are right, but we are powerful in our own right. Amethyst and I are sisters. We are two sides of the same coin. Della and Amethyst consider us as equals. We may never be queen, but we will be her consort. Just as Ronan will be Valor’s. We will rule by their side,” Liora says. Before I can panic too much, Ace speaks.
When Ace says the words r*pe and murder, anger courses through me. This ba**ard has stolen lives and innocence because he thought omegas were less than. Watching Valor end his pathetic life doesn’t cause me a moment of disgust like I thought it would. I thought for sure I would be horrified to watch another wolf die, but he deserved every second of what Valor and Axel did to him. “That’s my girl,” Liora says.
I turn toward Lisa, who screams and rages against the warriors that still hold her in place. Della’s voice in my head startles me. “You deserve the chance to deal with this conniving witch, but I won’t force you to do something you aren’t comfortable with,” she says. Could I kill her? “I think you should actually see her crimes before you say no,” Liora says. “I’d like to
see exactly what she has done, Della.”
“Of course, come to stand by me,” she says. I move without hesitation. The eyes of the pack follow me with looks of curiosity and confusion. When I come to stand at Della’s side, Lisa is staring at me with hatred in her eyes. Tears stain her cheeks, but I can’t find an ounce of sympathy for her. “Lisa Crane, my daughter, will now see what injustices you have committed,” Ace says. “Don’t touch me.” she screams as the guards drag her in front of Della.
She takes my hand just as she did Valor. The minute her hand touches Lisa’s, my mind is flooded with images that make my stomach turn. She not only stood by knowing what her father what she was doing, but she was present and participated in many of the murders. I feel like I can’t breathe as soon as I open my eyes. My hands fall to my knees before I finally get control of my breathing. I look up and Lisa is actually smiling at me.
Blinding rage consumes me. “She is mine,” I link Della. “Lisa Crane, for crimes against omegas in conjunction with your father, you are sentenced to death. The sentence will be carried out today by the future Beta Female of the supernaturals,” Ace says, looking at me. What the hell? Did he just say I’m to be the Beta Female? I didn’t know how the hell I was going to be Luna, and now I’m supposed to be Beta of the supernatural world.
“Get out of your head. We can have a crisis later about what you were always meant to be. First kill this b**ch,” Liora says. My eyes snap back to Lisa and the anger returns. She doesn’t look like she has an ounce of remorse for what she has done. “Wolf or not, you are still a

pathetic omega,” she says. The guards throw her to the ground at my feet. I grab her by the hair and drag her to the center of the circle.
“I won’t beg you for mercy like my father, worthless omega,” she screams. “That’s good, because you won’t find any. In fact, my hope is that after I’ve dealt with you, the goddess makes sure you suffer for eternity.” She goes to open her mouth and I pull my arm back, punching her square in the face. I’ve never hit another person, but it feels amazing to hit her.
“You f**king b**ch” she screams and scrambles to her feet. Her eyes flash to black before she shifts into her wolf. Liora pushes forward and we tower over her. Her wolf is not as smart as her dad’s and lunges at us. Liora latches on to her front leg, breaking it. She releases it only to latch onto her back leg. The crack and whimper make me smile. The wolf falls to the ground and Liora circles the wounded animal.
The wolf rolls onto its back in submission, but nothing will stop what’s about to happen. Liora moves toward the wolf and latches onto its throat. The taste of blood and the movement of her head have the wolf flailing, but it doesn’t last long. When she finally goes still Liora steps back. I’m sure our white fur is stained red, but it doesn’t stop Ronan from rushing toward us. As soon as he is close, I shift and he covers me with his shirt.
His bare chest has me clenching my legs together. Without warning, he slams his lips down on mine. Everything around us fades away and all I can think about is this man with his arms
around me. Liora was right about one thing. There is no way I’m waiting.
